The O11OO Summer Shotglass Exchange

Sent mine off across the pond at the weekend!

Just got back from vaca to find a package filled with goodies from IvoryTowerDenizen
AWESOME “Lab Shots” set of shot glasses - LOVE the Erlenmeyer flask shot glass !!!
Can’t wait to experiment with these!

Also lots of postcards, pins, stickers

Thank you so much

I picked up an item on vaca, and will be packing it up with the rest of my goodies directly.

Also to someplace warm

I may be late (to be honest, I’m usually late sending these out), but as I said. It’ll be worth it!!

Yay! I took a chance that your username meant you were in some way connected to a lab or just liked lab stuff.

I tossed in the postcards so I know I’ll see you in the next postcard exchange.

If I’m counting correctly eleven out of sixteen players have mailed stuff out, and five have acknowledged recieving stuff.

Got a package in the mail!

It’s from Tread, and it’s a fine Louisiana shotglass and a whole bunch of American candy treats I can bribe the kids with, as well as some banana liquor that I am eyeing with some suspicion and a keyfob with a thermometer on it. Thanks, Tread!

Glad it made it, I hope the extras are things that aren’t readily available there.
Nothing as hot as the jawbreakers I sent last year.

I received a lovely package from Baker mumbletwoweeksagomumble. She sent a pretty etched shotglass, small bottles of Absolut Red, White, and Berry (already drank it. Yum!) and Crown Royal, boysenberry jam, and some really thoughtful postcards from places she’s been/enjoys. Thank you, Baker!

I haven’t mailed mine yet because we’re in the same state and I’m honestly stumped. But I know I’m way over-thinking it and will get my package out next week!

Mine is actually, officially off.

Would have been a little sooner, but someone recycled the beautiful box I had set aside…

So now twelve of sixteen have been sent, and seven of sixteen recieved.

deedeeknowit just got her package from an unknown Brit, whom I assume is Teuton. Tres kewl. She actually squealed when she saw the fuzzy lion. London shot glass, Devon keychain (they surf in Devon?), Team GB keychain, postcard of The Barbican Prawn in Plymouth, all in a fuzzy Team GB lion pencil case.

Thank you!! The Devon keychain is going to get turned into a Christmas ornament, FYI. Dee is very info retasking stuff.

My package is waiting for me at the post office. Not delivered yet because British customs decided I had some duty to pay

I may not be able to get there to collect until the weekend, but will check back once I have confirmed its all safe and sound.

So I went to the gift shop, bought my doodads and thingies, popped over to the package store and procured some libations to sample with the sh…

I’m going back to get some shot glasses tonight. :smack::smack:

My tenants downstairs from me get a lot of packages of all sizes. So when I came home today to check my mail I didn’t think that box would be for me but it was.

Sicks Ate sent me two lovely shotglasses from Kansas City, and a 750ml bottle of coffe liquer. That’s why the box was good sized, there was LOTS of paciking, to protect the big glass bottle1 I haven’t heard of the brand, it’s call Midnight Espresso, but it sounds nummy. I think I’ll wait until the weekend to crack it open, so I’ll be relaxed.

I like the one logo on one glass, saying KC is “the city of fountains.” It sure is, I’ve been there a lot and they are lovely.

Thank you so much. I’ll let you know what my first drink of liquer is like. Maybe I’ll mix it with cream.

Ooh that sounds yummy, you’re welcome! I saw that a few months ago and earmarked it for the exchange. It’s locally distilled and made from (also local) Roasterie coffee.

Royal Mail decided to deliver my package yesterday! All received in good order. I don’t know my correspondents SDMB name, only his real name, but a big thank you.

I received a delightfully eclectic mix of Chicagoan memorabilia. (Including a fantastic shot glass for my collection) My wife was particularly enamoured of the shower curtain. Quote “The Chicago train system is a lot simpler than the London tube” (Please don’t take that as an insult.) I laughed at the fact the shower curtain map still had a warning that a certain station was closed for works. You know just in case you were relying on your shower curtain for directions, only to find the station you were counting on was closed so you sue the manufacturer. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry about that Greedy Smurf, it was a bit of a rush job

Absolutely no apologies necessary Zoid. My ‘delightfully eclectic’ description was not at all ironic. It was a fantastic, and generous package, very much appreciated.

Glad she liked it!

And yes, we do surf in Devon. A bit.

No updates?

So far twelve of sixteen players have reported sending, and ten of those have reported recieving. If the other four players haven’t said something by this weeked, that they’ve sent a package. I’ll PM them and ask what’s up.
