I’ve been slow. My apologies. It should be sent by Friday.
No one else? Come on folks!
For those who have yet to get a glass, a couple are coming from a long distance.
No matter though, nobody wo sent a glass is going to go glassless, I promise.
Desperately trying to get mine out today
That’s a nice gesture, but if for some reason, I don’t receive one, I do not wish for you to be out, due to someone not sending, or package getting lost in transit,
Those things are out of your control. You should not do all the work in running this, and be responsible for everyone getting a glass.
Things happen, it is a risk, but not one to be absorbed by you, IMO.
Well I agree Baker shouldn’t have to personally find glasses to send to everyone. I would be willing (and I’m sure others have probably expressed their willingness) to send another one to somebody who might miss out. For this exchange or future ones.
And side note, I already have a glass for next year. The anticipation of sending it is awful! ![]()
Thanks everyone for the offers. I hope to be hearing from the last four soon, to know they have sent the glasses.
At the end of the week I’ll update on who has sent and who has recieved, so if you will be sending or have recieved since this please let us know about it!
I agree, no need for Baker to make good. I’ll also put my hand up to volunteer to tip in an extra glass if needs be.
Sooo, if you’re in the South and waiting on your shot glass, it went out yesterday. You should have it by the end of the week. Sorry it took so long!
Thank you for the notice Inter Alia!
I will be out of country for a week or so, and obviously not able to check mail, so I will not know until Friday, the 11th, if I have received anything.
I will update then
Woo hoo.
Just got a package before I left. .
A rum, I never tried… and there’s not a lot that we’ve not tried…bottle opener, dip mix, and a good looking alligator shot glass, one I’ve yet to see, which was a little surprising, coming from the same state.
Good Job, and thanks to
Inter Alia.
Yay, I’m glad you liked your stuff, Tread! Us being in the same state made this a little more difficult than usual, LOL.
Great! So now thirteen are confirmed sent, and eleven recieved.
Fourteen have been confirmed sent.
Twelve have not recieved. But one of those should get theirs soon, as on poster confirmed to me by PM that they have sent. So it looks like this.
A has sent to B, but B hasn’t got it yet.
C has sent to D, who has not confirmed reception
D has not confirmed sending to E, who, obviously, has not confirmed recieving.
E has not confirmed sending to F, who again obviously has not confirmed recieving.
So it’s D and E who are holding things up. I fully expect B to get their package, but F can’t get anything from someone who didn’t send. So only F will really be out a package. I wouldn’t worry about D and E getting anything, unless they do wind up sending. It would be polite of D to say they actually got their stuff, though. C sent to them and deserves acknowledgement.
Okay, I sound hard here, but as we say in these exchanges, if you don’t intend on playing, please don’t sign up. I’ve had several offers to send extra, so I’ll pick one of them to send to F.
Not sure where I am in the above list, but my package is (finally) on its way down south, near the House of Mouse.
Apologies.
As of this post 15 of the 16 players have confirmed sending packages. The last one sent me an email saying it would go out today, but I don’t count it until they say it’s actually been sent.
So yeah, turns out my thought of “It’s never been a problem before” is not so reliable a basis for sending technically unallowed goods. :o
Package returned on the weekend with nasty letter from the Royal Mail, having confiscated the offending contents.
So new and mail acceptable contents were acquired and re-despatched this morning. My abject apologies to my correspondent, both for the delay, and for a package sans contents to put into the shotglass.
I come back from a productive day of mini golf to find one helluva package from Labtrash!
Inside I got not one, but TWO wonderful shotglasses. I especially like the one with the entire state of South Carolina in it because it mentions Spartanburg, which is a city I met up with Ms. Cups one time when I was in Charlotte and we were living apart. That place always has good memories for me.
And to fill my shotglass I got some interesting liqueurs. A key lime pie, coffee and hazelnut milk flavored shots are all things that will be brand new to me. I also got a bottle of cinnamon Jack Daniels. Although here in Orlando, due to contractual obligations with Universal Studios, I must call it Firewhisky! I’m excited to pour a shot of that into my Strongbow this weekend…
I also got a beer glass from Hitchcock Brewing, which should go great with the beer I just purchased this weekend.
But wait, there’s more!
A beautiful wood-carved dragonfly ornament was included. Little do you know just how much I love wood! (hey, get your mind out of the gutter…)
And last, but definitely not least, a big ass bag of grits. Which is perfect because Publix had BOGO Shrimp this past weekend. Shrimp and cheesy grits are coming for dinner this week!
Thank you so so very much! I loved it all and it was definitely worth the wait.

Glad you liked it!
In my haste to get my oh-so-late package out, I forgot to put some other knick knacks in there, as well as something saying who sent it!
I see you de-coded my cryptic “House of Mouse” clue ![]()
