I saw this a few times on AS, but it seems to be missing recently. Is it gone for good?

Ahhh, the Oblongs. How I miss them.
Last time, I checked the “toon network” that wonderful family was replaced during with Futurama. One evening recently, while flipping channels, I caught the end of an episode.
I’ll try to find out when/where.

Adult Swim seems to change their schedule every few months or so. I long for the days when Home Movies was on at 9 every weekday…I check the listings on their website fairly often.
There are only 13 episodes so the burn through them pretty fast. Although they still hold the adult swim record for highest ratings.
As it stands now they aren’t scheduled to appear any time soon. The current schedule runs out to Nov. 2 and it’s not in there.

I saw that show once when it was originaly on and it was more than enough. I think that the show was written entirely by bitter Green Party memebers.
I was able to successfully sue them.
Based on the cartoon book “Creepy Susie,” by Angus Oblong. Originally intended as competition for “The Simpsons” on … was it Fox or WB? Anyway, apparently, either it didn’t get the ratings or the network just thought it was too damn strange. Cancelled. No further episodes forthcoming.
Kind of a shame. I rather liked it.
“The Oblongs” was a very creative and funny show. Same goes for that show called “Bob, the Devil and God” [hope I remembered correctly] Wonder if they got a lot of complaints about the latter, which may have been one of the reasons for it’s quick demise. Both were a bit too liberal for today’s political climate I suppose.
I won’t post a link, but Angus Oblong has a .net (hint hint) site where you can buy original artwork at a very reasonable price. I got two autographed sketches for only 15 dollars each. One is called “Creepy Susie meets a Scientologist” with Creepy Susie holding a spear with a body dangling from it. The other is a chest-up portrait of Bob and Pickles, with a little frame drawn around them.
Very neat. Nice guy too…
I bought the “Creepy Susie” book about four years ago from a bargin bin. It’s fantastic.

WB. Why would Fox want to compete against one of their own most popular shows?
I watch adult swim when I think about it on a sunday night. After watching this show a few times I grew sick of the not so subtle preachyness of it. Rich people are stupid and evil. Poor people are stupid and jealous and live in the filth of the rich people. Made me want to go take a shit in the projects. Oh and the fat(can I still say “fat” here?) girl and the little sister with the dildo in her head made me want to lose my lunch.
