Saw a woman in the grocery store with two toned hair, blond & kind of wineish-red in about 2-3" wide vertical stripes with the length up on top in some bun/ponytailish clip; she really looked like a Goober :smack:
Now I’m thinking of doing this with symbols in ash on our foreheads.

Dinner was breakfast; eggs over toast and some sausage. Just the thing I needed. This weekend we’re going to go below zero so I’m hoping much soup is in my future. Herself has plans of cabbage, potato and ham; dinner at 8 and gas at 9.

I’m getting nice, I’m not sure if I am pleased with that or not.
I got a call from another bill collector for the Katrina bitch who used to have my number and I was nice to the caller. Then I got another call from a woman who asked me if I have heard of Jesus Christ? I said of course I have. That seemed to throw her off. Then I told her nicely that we have our own religion in this house and we are quite happy with it, so not much need for her to talk to us.
Something wrong here I think.
I’m very nice. That why when I stop being nice, it adds to the shock value.:mad:

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeineatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 29 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 67 and sunny for the day. Not too shabby. I start my irk day in large and in charge Dawson, Jawja. I don’t have to be there until eight-thirty and shall leave from da cave to go so I can slack a little bit this mornin’. Plus, tomorrow is irk from home day and Moanday is a holiday for me. YAY!!!

I’m not one to complain about snow days, really I’m not. However, today* is the third snow day this week and our sixth snow day this year. If I was still living in Northern Ohio and we had this kind of weather, we would have had maybe one snow day so far. We’re good through eight days, but I surely hope we won’t have to make any up.
*I have to go in anyways for training this afternoon which they had already scheduled a sub for.
The only good thing about it being so cold here is that my coffee cools down faster.

I had completely forgotten about the early morning training meeting I must attend today. The insomnia came in handy today, as I was already awake and pondering all of the things I need to take care of. I just hopped into the shower early, and after taking youngest son to school I’ll be good to go.
After work I have to go to the store for cards and whatnot for the weekend. I leave tomorrow for my brother’s wedding and should probably start packing today.
I love my job. Medical librarian. However, I feckin’ hate the publisher Elsevier who charges outrageous sums of money for their journals, has a cr@ppy platform that works when it feels like it, released an app that seized up my iPad, then told me to send them a screenshot. From an iPad? WTF??? I HATE YOU ELSEVIER.
It’s 9 degrees and sunny.

Slow day all around; frigid but sunny. Now how to dress for work becomes a concern; what extra layers do I want to pack along?

I’ve been modeling a part as-built by… I don’t know. I was provided notes and they’re close, but not good enough for a proper drawing, so I’ve had to do a lot of research, which really slows the process. But I think I’m just about done. I’ll take a look after I eat. For now, my brain needs a rest.
On the plus side - I brought in a handful of plastic forks, so I shouldn’t have to eat my sketties with a spoon ever again! On the other hand, if I bring soup… guess I should bring in some spoons, too.
Sometimes it’s a challenge being me.

It’s cold, 21 degrees outside and supposed to get colder. Then back up into the 40’s. I don’t need to go anywhere, so the cold isn’t much of a bother. However, I have to look into how to warm up the powder room, it gets very cold in there. I think maybe a rug would help. The air coming out of the vent is a bit chilly too, so maybe the duct work needs insulating?
I’m not going to worry about it today.

ruble, do you have a locker at work? I keep a tee shirt in mine for the rare times when I have to spend prolonged time in the warehouse where it’s warmer than my cube or I have to do something messy.
We got another 1/2 inch of snow last night. Winter can kiss my ass.
I’m trying to enroll in a stupid mandatory on-line course - good grief, it’s taking forever!! I haven’t encountered such a slow site since broadband became widespread. I swear, I feel like I’m back on dial-up!!
