Why was Pam so insistent? Dwight’s been a dick to her too.
He got their kid to sleep cycle.
The cold-opening poison-dart gag confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt the show isn’t even trying to be realistic anymore, even by fictionalized poetic-license standards.
There are plenty of outrageous moments like this, or the triangle-shaped ipad. There’s also plenty of realistic-ish moments too, like when everyone analyzed Darrel’s texts to figure out the hidden subtext, or when Andy realized he kind of likes doing receptionist work. Overall, there’s still enough reality in there to resonate with actual office drones, in my opinion.
it was just a bad bit, but Red Barchetta’s right. It was too wacky. I was expecting a moustrap.
How many times has a character attempted pre-meditated murder on another?
poison could mean a lot of things.
It was a freakin’ dart. That alone could seriously injure someone.
true. Why keep it in the office too?
Well, if last week’s episode was any indication, to ward off attacks from roving gangs of 11 year old female street thugs. The show may be set in Scranton, PA, USA. It’s not our USA, though.
Dwight’s also been unexpectedly nice to Pam in the past, and has gone way out of his way for her more than once. In his own fashion, of course. They have soft spots for each other.
Dwight is the joker to Jim’s batman. Or vice versa depending on who you ask. He needs him there in Scranton.
Dwight’s had plenty of dangerous weapons in the office before. There was a whole episode a few seasons ago where he was taping ninja stars under tables and hiding crossbows and stuff to kill Andy with. He has a file marked Mr. A. Knife. Hell, he shot a gun in the office. All things he should have long been fired for, but I watch now just to be entertained. Most shows based on pure reality are usually pretty boring. Dwight has never been close to reality, outside of a few of the smallest quirks.
I thought this season started off a little rocky, but I’ve been liking the past few episodes again. I was surprised to see Jim fight so hard for Dwight’s sake, but they’re kind of like brothers at this point. They’ve been through so much together.
