Possibly. But she could be accepted to a special program and maybe she and Jim will get into an argument over her staying longer…there are lots of possibilities. Actually, I’d prefer that they let the two of them be in love and inject more drama to Dwight and Angela or any of the other sub-plots.
Haha, that was terrible. The look on poor Holly’s face. She was so gearing herself up for him to ask her out…
Yep.
One other favorite moment - Pam’s talking head moment on the webcam. “Can you bring me back to Jim now please?”
In the first scene, at the end of the last meal, Dwight tried to stop people from eating anything else by spraying bug spray (I think) all over the food, and he got some on Meredith. I think the skin thing was a reaction to the spray.
God, this show just keeps it coming. I was cracking up the whole way through.
My favorite moments:
Creed cutting the rice rations on a scale with a credit card.
Kelly’s first interview where she looks like she’s on death’s door. “I bought a bikini. I’m gonna look so awesome.”
The pictures Michael ‘Klump’ hung up were priceless.
When Michael ‘Klump’ has Kelly stand up and ask everyone what makes her beautiful… she starts letting go, “I hate diets, I don’t like [whatever], and I don’t like this worm inside me!” Which went right over everyone’s heads, except the show a shot of Creed almost loosing his poker face.
When Dwight kicked the cake on Michael.
When Michael was calling the old receptionist lady a weirdo. And walking Pam around on vidchat to fill people in on stuff. “Michael, put me down, I’m getting sick.”
Basically every reaction shot from Jim.
And others. Good start this season. Also, I hope they tame Michael back somewhat, as last season, they had him do stuff even children and psychotic people knew better not to do. It was just overboard. This last ep, so far so good…
The crack-up moment for me was Dwight hammering the apple into the vending machine slot.
The first dance to “The Little Drummer Boy”? Sure, says Andy!
This was a fantastic episode. It was season-finale quality! They really kept it up through the whole episode…I hope the whole season is this good!
Well, it’s been seven weeks already, so only five to go, right? I think an engagement is worth at least five weeks of fidelity!
…and this has already been discussed!
When everyone first got on the scale, they announced a weight, Pam got off, they gave the new weight and you could see everyone pausing to do the math… bwhaa!
???
Well, she’ll be dancing with her cat, not the bridegroom, so what does he care?
Angela, because she is pregnant.
“Be more specific”
“Her FINGERnails.”
For some reason, that absolutely cracked us up!
Also:
"5 miles? That’s a deathmarch…?
I liked the earlier rendezvous bit…“This is the last time, Dwight! I have a fiancee who I like very much.”
Maybe that I already made the seven weeks already has passed point.
Right, but there are other possibilities…that’s all I’m saying.
Eh, I doubt it. If they were going to go down that road they wouldn’t have skipped over more than half of Pam’s NY trip in one episode.
And that look on her face when he got down on one knee has me pretty convinced that nothing will change that in the next few episodes.
But if Michael screws this up with Holly I will be pissed.
Sorry, yeah, I meant that while my post was sitting on preview for like half an hour while I was distracted doing something else, the point that I brought up (which I thought was brilliant, BTW, 'cause that’s how I roll) had already been discsused by you guys.
Well knowing this show, nothing is always 100% peachy keen. Something will go wrong somewhere. But I seriously doubt they would completely ruin Pam/Jim for us. They know a lot of viewers like them together and it really works. I don’t doubt there might be some trouble ahead but I also think in the end it will be all good. I just don’t think New York is gonna be the problem. The writers skipped over most of it already. I think the probable problem lies somewhere else now unseen.
I was wondering about the scene where Andy mentioned his a cappella group from Cornell. He said that he wanted the group to be the wedding band and to stay with them for three weeks (and for them to be his collective best man), and it was a “dealbreaker”. I think he finally realized that she really didn’t want to marry him and was using the a cappella group as a graceful way to end it.
