The Office Season Premiere, The List

There was a time when I could actually confuse him and Michael Shanks(they both played the same role from Stargate).

Not anymore.

Very good episode. I love Spader.

I also want to know why Gabe is there. I though Jo sent him back to Florida.

What happened to the hottie that Will Ferrel hired?

Yes, she’s pregnant in real life, her first pregnancy (with her second husband).

I think Angela’s pregnancy is fake, however. I’m not sure, though.

I kinda have to agree, especially on the planking thing.

I still have hopes for this season…while I enjoyed the show when Michael Scott was boss, it had become very one note…with every episode and plot line centered around Michaels narcissistic personality disorder…granted it was an amusing note which is why I kept watching, but one note all the same.

However, they’re going to have to replace that plot and I wasn’t impressed with last night’s effort…the best I can give them is at least they didn’t try to stretch it into an hour long episode.

I do like the Angela and the senator plotline. My most wished for plot line is “Jim meets a prettier face and dumps Pam”…I hope it happens this season while she’s hugely pregnant.

There’s no chance of that. thousands of squeegirls would descend on Greg Daniels and devour him whole.

I thought the planking was pretty funny. The Dwight stuff was a bit too over the top for me, but Erin’s response to the whole thing was so funny that it made it all worth it.

I like Andy as the boss. This is a great start to the new era, and I agree with others who think the lack of Michael Scott might give the show a breath of fresh air that keeps things going for quite a while.

Spader was awesome. And, I like the character they created for him.

Fun episode all around. At first I thought it was a mistake to end the show after Carrell left. After watching this, I am glad they did it. Helms is very funny, and it looks like they aren’t going to make him carry the show. So, all of the characters can shine.

I wish they hadn’t gotten rid of Jordan. I think, as of the end of last season, they were going to set her up to be someone that Pam was jealous with.

Stanley is the best salesman!

I must say, I think I might actually like it better without Michael. It was too cringe-inducing for me towards the end there with Michael’s antics.

My favorite thing about Elmo is the tickling.

I loved Toby bailing on the lunch as soon as the Sesame Street talk got too deep.

He was right, though; he didn’t belong there.

Funny, since they concealed her real one.

I thought the planking thing was funny, especially Kelly (“I can’t get down”). Isn’t that fad over, though? Did anyone ever really do it in the first place?

Do you just think Angela the actress is wearing a fake belly for the character’s pregnancy - or do you think Angela the character is faking her pregnancy?

I meant the former, although I wouldn’t rule out the latter as well.

That totally fits in with the characters being the kind of people getting into planking after the fad was dying. Like when they did Parkour or the dance at Jim & Pam’ wedding.

Two Deleted Scenes are up. It explains why Gabe is around. Now what happened to Jordan?

I liked how all the “winners” were nodding and agreeing with the “cultural ghetto” comment, not knowing or caring what it meant.

And you answered the call?

He always was, followed by Phyllis. Okay, when he had to Michael was the best, but he rarely had to.

:frowning:
