The Office: "Two Weeks"

I said why I brought it up. It was a response to the “Jim Hate” talk. Most people don’t ‘hate’ Jim, and see things from other angels. I was just throwing out what I’ve read from other fans. In fact I think I read some of these comments on these boards.

I said that I agree that Jim, now has brought a lot more to the table. I didn’t say that Pam did anything wrong. I understand why she would turn down Jim while with Roy, it’s just that Jim had no obligation to wait around of course. Then, Pam decides to open up to EVERYONE about it, (which is actually still one of my favorite scenes), that’s when Jim makes some pretty significant sacrifices. You don’t think Pam (possibly) not having a job, after they just got a new house isn’t something that should be at least discussed beforehand? As I also said before, I know a lot of real life people who wouldn’t be as patient as Jim. And Pam’s lucky he is. That’s it. Jim’s not married yet, so I think he’s willing to take Pam for whatever she wants to be,

So when’s this documentary going to be finished, already?

There documentary filmmakers who film for decades without ever getting a distribution deal.

Stringer Bell comes to Scranton under the alias Charles Miner, using a branch of a failing paper company as a front to launder drug money. He again proves himself a hit with the ladies. He again uses his dominating physical presence to intimidate someone. He again tries to impose his formal class-learned training techniques on an atypical yet successful operation, feeling good about himself in the short run, but ultimately leading to his downfall.

The Wire: Season Six (The Office)

After watching him in The Wire and now The Office, I still can’t wrap my brain around the fact that Idris Elba is British. He hides that accent perfectly.

Wow. He was Vaughn in Ultraviolet. I did not know that.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Creed feeding the copier quarters, or Oscar telling him it was 75 cents.

That was a good bit.

Something I didn’t get- when Jim was talking to Charles, and said he was the number two guy in the office, and they went through the whole Assistant (to the) Regional Manager bit, Charles indicated it was a made-up position. But it wasn’t a made-up position. Jan gave Jim that job when he came back to Scranton, and unless I’m mistaken, the position involved a bump in pay. Why wouldn’t Charles know about that?

See, I was thinking that he hid the accent perfectly as Stringer Bell, but there was something not-quite-right when he was speaking as Charles. I wouldn’t say I thought he sounded British, necessarily, but I would have guess (had I not known) that he wasn’t American.
