Office(s) - April 9, 2009

Two solid episodes, I think. It almost feels like a new season because so much has changed.

Take Me Home, Country Roads!

Woo-Hoo!

The “dueling banjos” bit was the funniest part of tonight’s episode. Some of the other stuff was funny… the bathroom noises from next door to the new office, Ryan constantly texting, everyone overhearing each other’s phone calls, Michael’s “corner.”

I didn’t know there were two tonight, so I missed the first 20 minutes of the first episode and I can’t really comment on it.

I really, really liked the second one, and I’m also someone who has hardly even liked the show after the third season. I like the new receptionist – she’s a cutie. Ryan needs an ass-whooping worse than ever. My favorite part was Toby’s talking about Damages: I give people the exact same speech.

Wow! These were two of the best episodes I have ever seen of The Office. They NAILED almost everything that was set-up in both of them, (as far as I’m concerned), with the possible exception of the “rundown” thing; I was distracted when Jim handed it to Charles, what happened?

He didn’t even look at it, he asked Jim to fax it to everyone in the distribution list, which Jim also had no clue about.

… so he faxed it to his dad.

I think he’s officially being a huge dick to Jim. What’s his deal? It seemslike he’s constantly singling out Jim to screw with*. Is this Karma for the way Jim’s treated Dwight?

*assuming he IS infact screwing with him. Charles seemed to call him out on the soccor thing, (when they all were sucking up) and rundown thing seemed fake

Great episodes. The banjo scene made me cringe…

I think Jim knew what Charles wanted but was afraid to give it to him. Wouldn’t a “rundown” be a list of your customers, what/how much they buy? Jim knows he’s in Charles’s sights. Why does he keep shooting himself in the foot? Does he want to be fired?

There are two grown men in the break room singing at the top of their lungs, doing the dueling banjos thing, and Charles doesn’t even…hear it? Care? Come on…

It’s because Charles wants a complete list of Jim’s clients to make it easier to replace Jim. Happens all the time.

Who’d have thought that Michael Scott Paper would actually get a client. Granted they still need to actually get the paper from somewhere.

He was using the bathroom. Definitely.

“She’s about a 6 in New York, but a 7 here.”

Best line of the season, by far:

Kevin: I thought Rajaniganda was a boy’s name.

I had to pause the TiVo to compose myself.

Then why would he want it faxed to everyone on the distribution list?

Don’t know. Maybe it was just a pointless task to waste his time. Maybe it was so that his clients could be divided among others.

I’m almost wondering if we’re seeing the end of D-M when all of their talented people move to the MSPC. Customer service is what their show has always been about, and if the people who were giving them that service all leave D-M, well…

I totally missed the first episode because we were out at an appointment. Will have to catch it online. But did anybody *ever *make that copy for Michael? And I’m remembering something where pancakes were used as head gaskets for a car . . .

As far as we know, nobody made the copies. It turned out, of course, that the only needed one copy for the pancake luncheon anyway.

Oh, and did anyone else notice who picked up Badass Party Boy Ryan?
