I thought I would start a thread for those of us who are habitual readers of the local obits. For some it may be morbid but for me it has been a near life long hobby.
Many a good obit just goes forgotten and it is a shame. There is an artform to living well, being respected and getting a nice write up about one’s life after you have shuffled off to join the choir above.
I’ll start out with the obit on Angelo Bettio who was an italian in a German PoW work camp who helped keep his fellow prisoners alive with his baking skills.
