I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to the Lola album, but still, every time I hear the airplane sound and then the hard-strummed opening chords of “This Time Tomorrow,” I feel a swell of emotion. Every. Fricken. Time. That’s genius.

I also am a proud owner of Give The People What they Want. Bought it for Destroyer.

I saw them live back in the 80’s - great show. About three songs in Ray pulls out an acoustic and plays the opening chords to Lola. The crowd goes nuts. Ray stops, looks out, says “naaaa - you’re not ready for that one yet” and goes into another song.

IMHO the version on Live—The Road is better.

Anyone but me see Preservation performed live circa 1970 with girly chorus?
