Since that fateful Saturday night about 2 mos ago when I got home and found nothing decent on and ended up watching a 2 hour Osbournes marathon on MTV, I’ve become addicted to the goings-on of Ozzy and his clan.
Does anybody else find them as fascinating as I do? My mother says I shouldn’t watch them because they are ‘evil Devil worshipping bastards who drink blood’ (which, from watching the eps, doesn’t seem to be true…heh:D). Yes, they bleep out all the ‘naughty’ words but overall I find it to be quite interesting and easy to watch.
Ozzy and Sharon’s devotion to each other and to the kids is quite touching, I think. I remember one ep where Sharon had just got home from t he hospital for her cancer (I think) and Ozzy was yelling at everybody not to touch the dogs and touch Sharon, or not to touch your ass and touch Sharon, things like that. I was watching the ep from this past Tues (which I had taped and not gotten around to watching until today) and it was very sweet of Ozzy to go out and buy all this fancy English chocolate for Sharon’s return from NYC.
My favorite ep so far is the rededication on New Year’s Eve ep where Sharon and Ozzy renew their vows. I had to go get some tissue because it was so touching and so heartfelt, every single word they said they meant it.
I am really looking forward to this coming Tues’s ep, to see whether or not Jackie gets thrown in jail for paintballing the neighbor’s house and what happens to the poor cat. I hope the cat is ok.
Is it just me, or do the Osbournes take in every animal they can find? Their home is like the local branch of the SPCA there’s so many dogs and cats and fish and whatnot!Eek. How do they stand it, esp with the dogs peeing and pooping all over the damn place?:eek:
It’s amazing how sweet he really is, isn’t it, Nvme? I never knew that part of him until I watched the show. Growing up I listened to Ozzy and Black Sabbath only to piss off my fundy parents but now that I’m older, I can appreciate what he’s been through to get where he is right now.
I positively cracked up while watching the last ep when he started complaining about the sameness of American money while he had a huge pile of it spread out all over the counter.
And did you see the one ep “Ozz man and the Sea” where he built a bonfire for Sharon on the beach behind their home? What a safety concious and law-concious guy Ozzy is! Went to the fire dept and asked them if it was ok. I don’t think the fireman understood more than half of what Ozzy said (but then again neither do I half the time! )but they were more than willing to cooperate and answer his questions, which was nice of them. I also laughed when they bleeped out Ozzy’s bare bum as he warmed it by the fire.
I saw Ozzy last month here in Ottawa (excellent show BTW, over 2.5 hours), and he mooned us at the beginning of the show. I’ve never seen a whiter, scrawnier ass in all my life.
Well, it wasn’t so funny that he was warming his bare bum by the fire, but what he said while he was doing it.
“I like to warm my bum by the fiiiiiire!”
Cracked me up.
How was the show, BTW? The last time Ozzfest was in Dallas I didn’t get to go, even though I wanted to.
Has anyone bought “Shut Up”, Kelly’s album yet? I’ve been to her official website, listened to a lot of the samples and I really like it for the most part. I’m hoping somebody will either
A) give it to me for my Birthday in sept
or
B) Give me money/ gift cert so I can go buy it myself.
I also caught the tail end of what looked like a Behind the Music/Life/Whatever on Jack on VH1 the other day. Did anyone see it? Was it any good?
The show was amazing. Between songs Ozzy was yelling “I can’t fucking hear you!”, dunking his head in buckets of water and throwing the water on the fans, and teaching Canadians how to shout soccer chants.
Ozzy was using Canada as the warm up for his Ozzfest and British tours, so he was working his through Canada and extending show times with each concert. Ottawa being the last stop got a 2:51 hour show, not counting 2 starter bands (Finger 11 and VoVoid).
Music rocked as usual, and in between songs he would take hits from a throat spray and sipped water or tea (the tea cup marked with a big letter “T”).
Zakk Wylde rocked, and had a wicked 10 minute solo while the rest of the band went off stage for a little rest. I’ve never actually seen anyone “live” play with their teeth before, and it produced an interesting sound. Speaking of sound, I wore earplugs cuz I’m a wuss and like my hearing the way that it is. My brother did not, and his ears rung for 2 days after.
Naturally, being an Ozzy concert the smell of weed was everywhere. When “Sweet Leaf” started, everyone who had some left sparked up. All in all, a good time.
Had somebody NOT sparked up during “Sweet Leaf” I would’ve been surprise,tbh.
I’m glad it was a good show and I wish I could go to the next Ozzfest here in Dallas. Unfortunately…hubby isn’t a fan like I am. He doesn’t even like me watch Ozzy when he’s home…I have to go in another room to watch it.
I saw some of the Jack Out of Rehab special- without going into detail, he attributed some fortunate coincidences that kept him alive to God- wondering how serious he is about that
FriarTed–when is the Jack out of Rehab special going to be on again, ya know? I’d really like to watch it.
I’m really looking forward to tonight’s ep about the missing Tikki (Ticky? Kitty? ). I’ve seen some of the commercials and while I do not feel Jack’s actions towards the neighbor’s (shooting paintballs at them )was justified for ANY reason, that’s no reason for the asshats to go steal the Osbournes’ cat (if indeed that’s what happened, as is hinted at).
Well, Yookeroo–while I do agree on that point, these animals (Tiggy and Gus) are their pets and you just don’t go steal somebody’s pets because you’re having a feud with them.
Ozzy is so creative. I liked the way he had Jack get out there and bang away on the drums and then later he blasted annoying music at them and was “I’m sorry I can’t hear you over my music. What did you say?”
I am really disappointed (but not shocked) that Kelly disobeyed Ozzy (yet again :rolleyes: ) and went out and adopted another cat. Ozzy looked like he was gonna blow a fuse when he saw the note taped on the door not to let Mojo (the new kitty) out.
