The oldest jingle you have in your memory

The earliest one I remember was Super Suds from 40s radio.

Also from Saturday morning 40s radio:

Cream of wheat is so good to eat that we have it every day
It makes us strong so we sing this song and makes us shout hooray
It’s good for growing children and grown ups too to eat
For all the families breakfast you can’t beat Cream of Wheat

From “Let’s Pretend”

“Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce,
special orders don’t upset us,
all we ask is that you let us serve it your way.
Have it your way, have it your way!
Have it your way at Burger King!”

Written by Barry Manilow, as was McDonald’s “You Deserve a Break Today” and State Farm’s “Like a Good Neighbor”.

I’ve remembered that when you “swung up” the Polaroid Swinger, it also said “Yes!”

Another marvel of space-age technology!

School bells ring and children sing
it’s back to Robert Hall again
Mother knows for better clothes
It’s back to Robert Hall again

As was

I’m a pepper
You’re a pepper
He’s a pepper
She’s a pepper
Wouldn’t you like to be a pepper too?

as sort of sung, here.(complete with a mural of up-side-down McDonald’s “M”'s!!!)

And the slight physical altercation, while playing! Cool!

In my circle of ahem friends, we sang “leper” instead of “pepper.”

"Be a leper, drink Dr Leper,
be a leper, drink Dr Leper…

A piece of the good Doctor in every bottle!"

Ew!
