The Omnibus Trump Pit Thread

Of course I do…unless you’re willing to call everyone who’s insulted Sarah Palin and Carli Fiorino misogynists too.

You know as well as I do that a negative or insulting comment aimed at a specific woman does not equal hate or disdain toward women in general. This sort of nonsense from the left is exactly why Trump’s anti-PC stance is resonating with so many people.

Implying that a woman who is asking you hard questions must be in the rag is sexist.

Implying that a woman is a stupid quitter, or that her resume includes no political experience & a spectacular business failure is not sexist. You can say that about plenty of men, too.

Trump appeals to the sexist, racist & misogynist base of the Republican Party. That’s why he’s so popular. There are so many of you!

Just not enough to win a general election.

Resonating with hateful people who dislike being called out on their hate. People who think their “Free Speech” means that no one else has the free speech rights to disagree with them or call them assholes.

As I say, I’m all for complete, unlimited freedom of speech. Because when people feel free to say any damned thing that pops in their heads, you know exactly who the bastards are.

And I and everyone else get to call you on it.

Too subtle.

It’s not the worst site I have ever seen. However, the “Next Generation” links strike me as odd: both sons get a long(ish) biography listing. The daughter? Just a pretty picture.

Was posting in a hurry from my phone and hosed it up.

Surely you know by now that Trump is denying he said any such thing. He says he was going for “out of her eyes, ears and nose” meaning she was so angry her head was about to explode. I’ve heard the term used before from time to time. Where he fucked up was in deciding to abbreviate it with “whatever” in an apparent effort to save time and get on to the next question.

Bwahaha!

So, “airhead”, “bitch”, “cunt” and “MILF” are implications now?

(Not to mention the number of lefties who’ve hurled the same insults at her daughter, with “slut” thrown in for good measure.)

You can also say Trump has hurled as many if not more insults toward men, too. But you’ll likely be the only one saying it since the media is only interested in cherry-picking comments about women in a dishonest attempt to make Trump look sexist.

Trump has an exemplary record of employing women in high-powered executive positions in his company, and two of the women he’s accused of mistreating (Ivana and Brandi Roderick) have come to his defense. He’s never been accused of sexism by any of the women who’ve worked with him in his businesses or on The Apprentice.

I doubt that very much. Indeed, I doubt that in the great expanse of the internet you could find a single reference to blood coming out of one’s eyes, ears, and nose as a colloquial phrase indicating great anger.

Bull-fucking-shit.

Where? When? Who said it to whom? I challenge you to find one instance of that expression in any English-speaking pop culture online prior to Trump’s remarks. Find just one instance: written, spoken, on video or film, in a play, an advert, anywhere at all where the “term”, as you say, was used as you claim. If you’ve heard it “from time to time” it should be trivially easy to back up your assertion.

Other night, Daily Show, doing a bit nodding to this staff. Camera scans aides who are assigned to watch Fox News. Each of them is clearly bleeding from the eyes. And who hasn’t heard the expression “He’s got blood in his eye!”?

“Crazy people walking 'round with blood in their eyes…”

~Don Henley

What the hell kind of sense would it make for Trump to have said “She had blood coming out of her eyes and her vagina”?

The assertion is idiotic.

It’s nice to see the implicit acknowledgement that sex based insults come from the left just as readily as from the right, meaning of course that either both sides are sexist or neither is.

Not a colloquialism for anger, and not a reference to blood coming from somewhere other than the eyes.

I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Okay, in all fairness, I was able to find a reference very quickly to “Bleeding from eyes, ears, and nose”, in a page that looks like it might have been around since sometime last year or earlier this year. At the bottom, it says “Page last updated: 28 July 2015”, so before Trump’s remarks.

Oh wait… That’s a page from NIH (National Institutes of Health), discussing the Ebola virus.

Of course he does. “Free silver?” What capitalist believes in the government giving away precious metals? Except to him, of course.

Excuse moi? It most certainly is a colloquialism for anger, as it refers to “wild-eyed pistol wavers, who ain’t afraid to die”. If not anger I’d be interested to know what emotion you think might drive these people to such a state.

So I’m awarding myself 100 points. But thanks for playing.

Who knows, maybe it was in relation to the Ebola virus that I’d been hearing the phrase too. Thus it’s not only possible but fairly likely that Trump, in describing Megyn Kelly’s angry attitude toward him, started to use the Ebola phrase but remembered mid-sentence where he’d heard it and decided it didn’t work in the context he meant it and just said “whatever” in its place.

Again, it makes no sense whatever that he would attempt to describe her anger by saying she was so mad she had blood coming out of her eyes and blood coming out of her vagina.

I mean, what kind of mental image is that? It’s laughable.

This is just partisan dishonesty intended to falsely portray Trump as sexist, just like the “we tried to kick a little butt” vs. “we tried to kick her little butt” bullshit that was broadcast by the left in the aftermath of the GHW Bush and Geraldine Ferraro debate.

Having heard the quote multiple times, I’m inclined to think that Trump was not referring to menstruation. It sounded like a derailed train of thought. I’m of the opinion that he was in the middle of saying, “She had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her [probably ears - it would flow better],” before realizing that made no sense. Of course, changing it to “whatever” made it sound a million times worse.

If her were looking to insult her, he would have probably defaulted to his standard “bimbo” or “loser”.

Now, stop making me defend this jack ass.

The lyric says they’re crazy. There are other lyrics about other emotions. But there’s no need to do a deep exegesis of Henley’s intended emotion, because it’s still a complete fail on your part of two independent reasons:

(1) It’s not even about blood coming out of anywhere.
(2) It’s certainly not about blood coming out of somewhere other than the eyes (and since Trump said eyes then “whatever” must mean something other than eyes)

None of this is to say Trump must have meant menstruation. I’m simply calling bullshit on your claim to have heard this phrase before. You haven’t.

-3000 for trying to game the judging.

Regardless, "blood in their eyes’ is different than “blood coming out of their eyes” and in order to be a colloquialism, it has to be something that native speakers use regularly and familiarly which is a test the metaphorical “blood coming out of their eyes” fails.
