Me too. In fact I was about to mention the time when I noticed my 5 year old daughter singing along with that song. She has a habit of echoing songs. That is, if the singer leaves enough time between lines to repeat them, she sometimes does that. We were driving and all of a sudden I hear her, from the back seat, say “I wish I was special/but I’m a creep” It was…strange, to say the least. I tried to get her to do it again later so I could record it, but she declined.

To be fair, if you don’t know the song, I can see how the lyrics, taken out of context, could appear. But it’s not an obscure song. It was a pretty big hit back in 1992.

I mentioned not too long ago in this thread that I have been dealing with depression lately. If it makes you feel better, you made me laugh pretty hard late last night when I saw that. I went to bed with a smile on my face.

The only two Radiohead songs I really know are “Creep” and “Fake Plastic Trees.” Your daughter knows it, ffs. I suspect it’s simply that Ellen is a little bit older than the rest of us in this thread, who were just the right age when “Creep” was huge. I might even say Shot From Guns was too young then, but she’s a precocious lass.

Nope, Guns and I are about the same age, and I know Creep pretty well.
Still, that threw me for a loop too. Had to think about why those words sounded familiar.
Back on topic. I thought I was going to finally get my first date off OkC, with a 99% match from Milwaukie(NOT Milwaukee). She suggested via email that we meet on Monday for coffee or drinks. I asked her to call me on my landline last night (I don’t have a cell right now) because I was planning on staying home. No call. I don’t know if I will be home tonight. I will definitely not be home for most of Saturday and Sunday. I will still have email and OkC, but I wanted at least one phone call before we met.
