They are not bad for someone who has taught himself to paint as a hobby and he made no attempt to show these to anyone beyond his family. The fact that he’s doing something so human as painting stupid pictures of his dog and sending them to his sister makes me hate him a little less. If he had just gone into baseball instead of politics, he probably would have been a lovable goof instead of a war criminal.
It’s kind of sad that people are giving him crap for his painting. I’m not the most artistically talented person in the world, so lord knows when I try these things it looks like it was done by a special needs preschooler. Let the dude enjoy himself in peace. It’s a sweet hobby and good for him.
I will say, though, that I’m dying that his email is GWB@ OGWB.org - I’m not sure why that’s surprising to me, but there it is. I also think it’s cute that he signs his stuff “43.”
Good for him. The Barney one is really quite nice. The others, while not my thing–if they make him happy, that’s good enough for me. While he was a crap president, and we’d best never talk about gay rights, I haven’t really got any personal beef with him. So to me, it’s just cool that he’s taken up this hobby and is doing fairly well at it. Sure as hell beats clearing brush!
Now why the hell couldn’t he have done something like The Scream? Oh man, the resultant analysis we’ve missed out on.
