The pro-mask side needs to step up its influencing game

I’m going to protect my financial stability by taking your stuff. We cool?

Sure come on down, I’m positive it will go splendid.

The point was that people that do it wrong can be expected to do it right eventually.

Otherwise, you do acknowledge that those people that do not learn fail at life, so much so that they are candidates for a Darwin award.

Are you saying that you never touch your face when you are not wearing a mask?

That’s one other part of mask wearing that can benefit yourself as well. When I first started wearing a mask, I only then discovered how much I unconsciously touch my face.

Now, you seem to be laboring under some sort of assumption that wearing a mask increases your chances of catching Covid from touching your mask. The only way that that happens is if you touch a contaminated surface, then transfer that to your face, through your mask.

If you have touched a contaminated surface, then if you touch your face, then you have contaminated yourself, with or without a mask.

So, either way, you should be washing or disinfecting your hands anytime they have encountered any sort of shared public surface.

In the end, while the primary purpose of a mask is for public health, it does provide you with more protection than going without.

By refusing to wear a mask, you are not only harming public health, you are putting yourself at risk as well. I fail to see the upside.

Wish I could remember who said it, but I saw it here on the board:

“The mask isn’t a political statement; it’s an intelligence test.”

Every day, I see (and read) more and more examples that bear witness to the wisdom of that statement.

Masks benefit both the wearer and the public by converting droplets that would be in the air, and therefore inhalable–considered the main source of transmission–into surface droplets–now considered a lower likelihood of transmission. Without a mask, you may catch Covid-19 by breathing in a room that someone else was recently talking in. With a mask–even if you touch it freaquently–you just have to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before touching your own eyes or nose or mouth. Which you should also be doing if you are out and about without a mask. I don’t believe a mask can increase your chances of infection, no matter how much you touch it. If the front of the mask is covered in Coronavirus, then it saved you from breathing that directly into your lungs. Converting it into surface contamination gives you more opportunities to avoid infection, and some of it will die just by being on a dry surface instead of your nice warm, moist lungs.

And just how did the viral droplet get on the surface? Odds are a non-mask wearing Covidiot sneezed or coughed to put it there. I suspect if Dear Leader hadn’t politicized mask wearing you wouldn’t give two figs about it.

No, @eschrodinger is correct. His/her post stated within it to not touch your face without washing your hands after touching any possibly contaminated surfaces, including your mask. Read the whole post before you leap to tell us how wrong we are. That you don’t want to hear it does not make it untrue. Spoiler: I’m timing how long it takes for you to come back with some more arrogant, misbegotten incorrectness, at the top of your lungs.

@BippityBoppityBoo, what you responded to was a quote of an earlier post by I-AM-WABI-SABI, by DesertDog. The former has not (yet) responded to my post. It can be kind of hard to tell depending on which theme you are using.

Duly noted. Thank you for the graceful, kind heads-up. I’m learning the ways of SD and the patience is appreciated.

Absolutely not correct, but I didn’t come into this particular topic for what if and you could do this and that and such. We are doing it and will continue. And if other doctors follow this doctor that is speaking out it can end soon and and all of you so triggered by not getting in line can find something new to be so outraged about. - YouTube And I just was here to mention even if you don’t like it, agree with it, it’s not all about politics from everyone and it’s definitely not all conservatives, at least in Florida. So enjoy being outraged I’m going to Lowe’s. The horror, no mask!

Breathe deeply while you’re out and about.

Enjoy your trip. As of Monday, Lowe’s in Florida has a customer mask wearing policy. So be prepared to be triggered by all those humane, unselfish, humble, opened-minded shoppers wearing their masks you are sure to encounter. :mask::mask::mask::mask:

It’s fine to breathe in.

Just don’t breathe out.

So @Lamoral, do you think our new poster here is reachable? What can the pro-science, sorry, anti-death, sorry, pro-economy, sorry, pro-life, sorry, PRO-MASK (finally!) do the step up its game?

That “doctor” is a politically motivated quack, as are all the doctors promoting this scam. Her medical degree is from Nigeria.

She believes that gynecological problems are caused by demon sperm and even aliens - or something. And she’s written some crazy ass books that defy description, I can’t even tell if they are fiction or non-fiction or just insane.

I guess my only question is, is Hydroxychloroquine effective for exercising all demons, or just the Covid causing ones?

'cause I got this thing going on with my pinky toe. It’s usually okay, but when its chanting turns from Gregorian to demonic, it causes my yogurt to turn sour.

Errr, asking for a friend.

They have had it for quite some time I shop there 4 or 5 times a day. There new policy starting last week is not to bother people who choose not to wear a mask, I’m friends with the manager also. This is the same now with Home Depot, Target, Walmart and few others.

Didn’t see this coming, but yet it works and they will continue to save lives.

What works? Hydroxychloroquine? Please provide an actual medical cite to that effect. Thanks.

Here’s a cite that says it doesn’t work: https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2019014

I await your fully cited reply.
