The question game

This is a game inspired by the show whose line is it, anyway?. I’m an English as a Foreign Language teacher in Indonesia and students always get a kick playing this game. It takes a quick wit to keep it going, and with the collective wit of the Dope, it might prove to be quite fun here.

Put simply this game is one in which people must make a (somewhat) coherent conversation using questions only.

Rules:
1. You must respond with a question. (hence the name of the game :D)
2. Question tags aren’t allowed.
Example:
a: why are you leaving?
b: It’s none of your business, isn’t it?
a: Though it would be nice to know where you were heading, wouldn’t it?
3. Your question must be posed to the asker of the previous question, not to anyone else on the sidelines.
4. Your question must be relevant to the previous question.
If the relevance is not that obvious do give an explanation. Use your good judgement, please.
5. Anyone can respond to a question.
It doesn’t have to go back and forth.
6. Please post your question in bold.
7. The last question wins.
And the winner is entitled to 10,000 points.
8. The points don’t matter.

Okay, so let’s say the setting is a barbeque at Uncle Cecil’s.

I’ll open with the question:

What took you so long?

Did you think I wouldn’t show up?

Well, how long does it usually take to buy more ice?

Why are you naked?

Did you not read the invite?

Was it written in English?

Aren’t all invitations to the White House written in English?

Is this really the White House?

Can’t you see Naked President Bush right there?

You mean the fat bald guy?

Isn’t that Clive Anderson?

Isn’t Colin Mochrie the bald guy?
aside: We play this all the time at our house–we’ve kept question sequences going for hours.

Who invited him?

SSG Schwartz

Aren’t you disqualified now for answering your own question?

Who put you in charge?

Can you direct me to the punch bowl?

Haven’t you seen that play by Tom Stoppard?

Are you flirting with me?

Do you want me to be flirting with you?

**Is this a trick question, dopers? **
