I’m listening this morning. He gave girlfriend Beth O. an engagement ring yesterday. 5.2 carats, emerald cut. Awww!
So how much crap are they giving him? I listened every day when he was free, and he swore up and down he’d never get married again. I imagine Gary, Robin and Artie are having a field day.

Oh, yes, a field day indeed. And they’re teasing him that he’ll have a kid now too.
I never listen to Stern. Does he express political objections to diamonds?
I would love if we, culturally, could get away from the fascination with diamonds. I like the idea of a wealthy big celebrity proposing with an emerald, just wondering if he’s made it a topic of conversation on his show.

A representative from the DeBeers Galactic Empire would like to have a word with you. He finds your lack of faith in diamonds … disturbing.

The conflict diamond issue did come up.
BTW, it’s an emerald cut diamond not an emerald.

I don’t think it’s an emerald–it’s a diamond in an emerald cut. See here

Isn’t “emerald cut” a type of cut diamond? As opposed to round, princess, oval, etc.? I just assumed it was a diamond ring, emerald cut.
Didn’t see those on preview…
