The real me...honestly this time.

I felt bad after I got a little flack for posting what I considered nothing more than a joke in a Myspace profile of someone with my same name but with very different personal details. I assumed most would recognize the link as the same one another member had posted in another thread and even those who didnt’ would quickly realize that it was joke. I am posting this link because it is the easiest way to see pictures of me and a few people have wanted to see some.

I just want to say I tremendously admire what you are able to do. Keep it up.

Maybe it’s just me, but you look a bit like Nicolas Cage.

Cute!

I normally don’t see resemblances, but I think you look like Adam Arkin.

StG

Wow, I guess I must just have one of those faces becaue I have been told I “look like” so many people. Just in this thread, Adam Arkin and Nicholas Cage are firsts for me. I’ve never heard those before but I’ve heard SO many others, and many have absolutely no similarilty between each other whatsoever.

Thank you! :o

You mean You were the one that posted the other thread (BTW where the fuck is that thread now, I thought your account had been hijacked and that the mods had taken the thread out because of this. But apparently this isnt the case, so there is ZERO justification for erasing it)?!!
So fucking nice of you to post a pic of an overweight guy, they look funny I agree, it’s always a laugh. And not judgmental at all.
I truly wonder if you became such an obnoxious guy because your disability or you were already like that before. Wish we were in the Pitt right now.

Um, geez ok. First of all, I am not the one who first posted that photo. Someone else, when googling my name, came across that and posted it in a humorous way. I simply used the same link in another thread because I genuinely thought the pic, along with what I had to say with it, was funny. I’m sorry I rub you the wrong way guy.

Aw, I liked that other dude! Don’t tell me I wasted a PM!

The “Don’t be shy…Please” thread, post #119.

In the comments on one of your photos you mention that quadraplegics can get ripped. How do they do that? I don’t understand how they can work out at all.

Oh yeah, a fat guy. My, they’re even funnier than invalid people with their ugliness.

People often misunderstand the actual meanings of the terms “paraplegic” and “quadraplegic” (or tetraplegic); being a quadraplegic doesn’t mean that you can’t move your arms and your legs, what it means is you have some degree of function-impact in all four limbs. Often times this means a quadraplegic will have use of his/her arms but their fingers and hands are at least partially paralyzed. So a quad can train (to a degree) but special accomodations and assistance are usually needed to ensure it’s done safely and properly.

As far as getting ripped, shit, 80% of that is diet, only about 20% is what you do in the form of exercise. So a dedicated quadraplegic can get just as cut-up and lean as a para but there are muscle areas that are paralyzed (most notably the abs) that not even the most strenous diet can overcome. I’ve seen some impressive quads.

Really… a fat guy? He doesn’t look too fat to me. A guy wearing a camo hat, with a silly look on his face, and a really bad angle, who apparently really likes pot… you don’t find it the least bit funny?

What’s your deal? Like I said, it wasn’t me that posted that and it wasn’t posted BECAUSE it’s the picture of a fat kid. It was posted BECAUSE it is a person with the same name as myself. Someone with the same name as myself; Jamie McGarry; yet with vastly, even comically different personal details and facts to his life. It wasn’t a fat joke. It was more nuanced than that. It took into account my extensive postings about my lifestyle as a gym rat, my bodybuilding and even the lonely, woe-is-me bio that was the “other Jamie”'s Myspace profile.

Those are some mighty nasty words your typing there. Why? You are making something out of nothing.

Not coming from someone on a mission, no. If you’re going to go crusader style on anyone that might have slighted (even involuntarily) any handicapped person in history, the least you can do is not be judgmental yourself.

I’m going to take your expert word on that.

“If you’re going to go crusader style on anyone that might have slighted (even involuntarily) any handicapped person in history,”…You seem like a reasonable man but this is a tad hyperbolic, dontcha think?? :dubious: Just a tad, just a tad.

Whoa, settle down, Beavis.

I thought it was a funny joke, though it looks like it probably needed a couple of “joke!” comments slapped on it just to make sure to flag it as such. And that’s a good picture of the real you!
