As I understand it, becoming a republic means opening the Constitution which means Quebec and / or Alberta and / or Indigenous peoples will make demands that will end Canada, so we’re keeping the monarchy

I’m not up on the formalities of letting go of “Queen” power under English law, but Prince Charles is now 68. Is hanging onto power this long the right thing to do?
