I was just thinking about Charles’s own peccadilloes and the trouble they got him in back in the, what, 80s? 90s? Seems so tame in comparison.

The “Overton window” on what constitutes outrageous has really gotten up and flown out the window in recent years. More so in US than UK, but you chaps are making a go of it too.

His grandpa’s brother had to give up being king because he wanted to marry a divorcee.

Times have indeed changed.

Not just a divorcee; an American divorcee.

And boy did the Crown dodge a bullet back then.

But traditionally shenanigans carried out discreetly were let slide as long as it didn’t rise beyond social impropriety. Andy though seems like he blew right past every norm.

That’s true; Edward VIII would not have been an effective leader during the war.

Oh, he would have been effective for someone.

‘Misconduct in public office’ - He shared confidential government documents he had access to as a UK trade envoy with Epstein.

That and his Nazi ties.

Harry should have studied his family history more.

I’m technically British, and aside from the standard “across the puddle” rivalry…

PS, I also enjoyed her role in “Suits”; although I have doubts about her real acting ability she got into a well-rated show and made a success of it.
