The reign of King Charles III of the United Kingdom

As usual, the backlash is mainly to Meghan’s existence.

She was an actress when Harry met her. Acting is how she made her living. She’s taking a job doing what she is trained to do. My suspicion is they would object to anything she did.

Correct.

Is it because she’s American? Or because she’s a POC? Why is there so much hate for her in Britain?

Mostly because she is a POC, although being American is also bad.

To be fair, the Brits are still up in arms about the scandal of Edward VIII and the American Wallis Simpson, so another divorced American is close to the last straw… or so the tabloids will say.

As a Brit myself - albeit non-resident - I, for one, welcome some fresh genes entering the royal gene pool: that chinless lot could do with some diversification.

Honestly, I think most people in the UK just don’t give a crap. Living here, I’ve yet to hear, in person, one single opinion about Meghan and her background. The odd mild joke about Americans, that’s about it.

I reckon it’s just that the Venn diagram between the small proportion of people obsessed with royalty, the proportion of racist morons and those who read the tabloids has a lot of overlap.

Do Brits even think about that anymore let alone give a shit?

Absolutely not.

Nor have I ever seen anybody give 2 figs about the fact Meghan is mixed ethnicity, from the first time she was linked to Harry all the way to now.

Hey, there’s a commonality! Apparently Ed loved to suck Wallis’ toes, too. Apparently even more than being King! Might there be something hereditary in the royal gene?

Really, toe sucking is one of the mildest and most harmless fetishes I can think of. Don’t kink shame!

Yeah, toe sucking is not much when you put it up against the fact that Edward and Wallis liked to hang out with Nazis.

Do you associate much with conservatives or Brexit fans?

Racism is a global issue. Racism is a British issue. It is not one that is merely confined to the United States – it is everywhere, and it is systemic,” wrote Edward Enninful, the editor-in-chief of the magazine’s British edition.

Areeq Chowdhury, a British writer and the founder of WebRoots Democracy, said last week that it’s “important we remember that this is a referendum that has only been made possible due to a long, hard-fought campaign by those on the far-right and political movements ridden with allegations of bigotry, xenophobia, and racism.” He continues:

“Nigel Farage — the UKIP leader who once said that his party ‘would never win the nigger vote,’ refers to Chinese takeaways as ‘a chinky,’ and said people would feel ‘concerned’ to live next to Romanians — is the man who should take a significant chunk of the credit for us having this referendum. It was his party’s success in the European Parliament elections, as well as defections which he brokered from the Conservative Party, which has led us to this point today.”

I’m not sure what 3 articles by racebaiting provocateurs have to do with what I said.

I mean, if being king meant I couldn’t suck ties anymore, then I… well, I’ve said too much.

or maybe knot.

presumably a Windsor knot?

Probably.

Obviously, impoverished:

Fergie, 66, is renting a £10,000-a-month, six-bed property as she plots a comeback after the Jeffrey Epstein storm which engulfed her shamed ex Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Her new gated home is situated in the Home Counties, though The Sun is not revealing the specific location.

Im SO looking forward to her comeback…
