Places to go, people to see:
Now he has Trump staying under his roof.
Big place, Windsor. I doubt if they’ll find themselves queueing for the bathroom.
Wouldn’t the Tower of London be a more appropriate place to put DJT?
Don’t give him any ideas. He’d drool over the Crown Jewels and demand a set for himself. But his set would be all fake jewels and gold spray paint.
I wasn’t expecting him to have any access outside of a small chamber.
Maybe the ravens would visit him.
This has got to stick in his caw, er, craw:
Since Rupert Murdoch is one of the main reasons trump is in office, I doubt too many sparks will fly.
There have been no reports of them throwing buns at each other or anything else untoward, just the usual anodyne speeches. (I don’t know if Trump even knew who else would be at the table).
There were about 130 guests at the dinner. I can’t imagine Trump reading a list that long or even having it read to him.
This link has lots of interesting detail about the banquet (note the final paragraph!)L
And I gather that at the final press conference T claimed to have stopped the war between Albania and Azerbaijan. No change there, then.
At least they met and, apparently, nothing was thrown:
Nothing against Harry or Meghan, but they laid their bets and have to live with the outcome. I personally suspect that he (Harry) will come to regret it, but he’s a grown-ass man.
I think Megan’s just biding her time until she can become the next Kris Jenner.
Why? It’s a dead-end job, being a working royal outside the line of succession; his uncles could tell him that. Harry was smart to get out.
IMO if Harry can parlay his fading celebrity into riches he’ll be ok. If not he’ll probably miss what would have been a nice life of very well paid, albeit boring, luxury.
I agree. When he was born, he was 3rd in the line of succession; now he’s 5th. Once William got married, there was never any real likelihood that he would be king. Once George, Charlotte and Louis have kids, he’ll be steadily pushed down.
So I’m not sure what “bets they laid”.
Harry and William were, at one time, incredibly close. And it certainly appeared that Harry and Kate had a great relationship. The longer this goes on, the more those bridges are well and truly burnt. I think he’ll miss his family (which already seems to be happening).
I think Meghan thought they could separate from The Firm and she would still get to be a princess and live the life but in America (by most accounts she hated the royal life in the UK and living under that microscope - and, to be fair, she reportedly wasn’t treated particularly well by the family or the media).
I think Harry thought this would be temporary and that he could make Meghan happy, but that eventually he’d be welcomed back when he was ready.
The second part could still come true, but seems less likely as time passes.
