The Religious Center

The Religious Center

I Am establishing The Religious Center in order to promote Peace through a New World Order.
The first step in World Domination is to start a Secret Society.
Therefore, I am inviting you to become a Charter Member.
God’s Secret Service

All are welcome to join; even Atheists and other Fundamentalists.
Children especially, are encouraged to join.

The Paramount Commandment is:
Act toward others as you wish others to Act toward you.

The Prime Doctrines are:
All are created equal.
All are endowed by their existence with certain unalienable Rights;
That among these Rights; are the Rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
It is the Duty of All to secure these Rights for Others.

Members of G.S.S. are encouraged to infiltrate All Religions, Political Parties, Societies and Clubs.
From these positions, we can guide others through our actions.

The Hand Sign for A is a secret greeting or salute that may be offered to others.
The A stands for All.
The A signifies that you respect all others as equal, and that you expect to be treated as equal.

The Hand Sign for A is a relaxed fist with the thumb pointing upwards.
The relaxed fist signifies that the hand is not aggressive; it will only be used as necessary for defense.
The thumb pointing toward the heavens signifies that we acknowlege the existence of All.

Other signs will be revealed.

Peace through Liberty
Pass it on.

Step 1 in creating a secret society: don’t post mission statements and email addresses on public internet sites

Step 2: come up with something new.

Is this The Church of Saint Fonzie?

I admit that this is just a variation on existing Truths. How is it that so many people are not Enlightened? How is it that no politicians and only a small minority of voters understand these Principles?

Damn, another secret has been revealed. That is an alternative signal.

BTW it is a Secret Society because so few seem to understand it.

If I were born the same day a future NBA player was born, there is absolutely no way no matter how much I practiced and devoted to becoming an NBA player that I could make it…just don’t have the necessary ingredients. By this I mean height, quickness, health and the like.

How about “Act towards {treat} others as they wish to be acted upon {treated}”

sláinte,

j

Step 3: Prophet

Language is such a poor means of communication. It’s like the game of telegraph, the more something is relayed; the more noise and confusion creeps in. The thought; the words spoken; the words heard; the interpretation; the understanding—too many relays. Unfortunately, it is all we have to work with.

What you say is true, but what you have described is talent.

Talent (def): The gifts with which one is born, given and developed.

Equality deals with society and the law. No one (or group) is entitled to Rights and Privileges that are not available to All.

I thought the thread The Religious Center was gonna be about Catholics…(you know, not right-wingnuts or unitarians…)

If you treat others as they wish, they are likely to treat you the way you wish.
This is another way of stating the same Law.
This is not just a Religious law (identified by one or more religions), this is a Natural Law; it can be and has been verified.

The Force of an Action results in a Reaction; the reaction is of Equal Force and Opposite Direction. This Natural law holds for Physical Mass, it holds for Spiritual Mass.

Spirit (def[8]): A state of mind.

BTW – Please define sláinte, I Am ignorant of many things, but I Am still learning.

What’s this all about?

Clearly it’s about sausages.

Whoosh.
I Am sorry Ludovic, but I Am not Clear in my understanding of what you intended to say. I would like to hear your insights about the Catholics and unitarians; and especially about the wingnuts. Please clairfy.

Would you consider yourself more of a skeptic or a pharisee?

Please explain what use an atheist has for joining a “Religious Center”.

“Tolerance regardless of religion or lack thereof,” maybe. Printing the signs would be a bitch, though.

They can use the Unitarians’ printer contract.

Whoosh right back atcha. It was a pun on the different meanings of “Center”, i.e. Fundamentalists are usually to the right of the “Center”, Unitarians considered to the left, Catholics more toward the center.

And, of course, the Catholic party in Germany during the Empire and Weimar republic was called the Center Party. It was banned by the Nazis, then after the war was refounded, then combined with some other parties to become the Christian Democrats.

Well, I’ll need to know if those sausages are kosher before I sign anything. :dubious:
