Okay, seriously: what effect will controversies like the walkout and the vote counting thing affect November? Probably relatively minor, but I can easily see it being used as further justification for conservative anti-Trumpers to harden their positions and be more vocal.
Naw. Czarcasm was right. Trump’s in charge. The Republicans are the Party of Trump. All this deadender stuff won’t amount to a hill of beans in November - especially since half of them will still turn around and say with a straight face that Hillary is even worse.

I’m relieved that this procedural glitch is past. I feared they might descend into fisticuffs and mayhem, requiring police intervention. Who might charge in with truncheons and crack some Republican heads.
That would have been bad. Unless the No Trumpers! were yelling “The whole world is watching! The whole world is watching!”. That would still be bad, but it would be awesome.

So the Trumpster has said. No Muslims can be allowed in the country until we find out what’s going on.
So I assume that at some point in this convention he will announce that his first act as president will be to establish a Committee to Find Out What’s Going On, with the explicit goal of finding out what’s going on, and issuing a full report by a certain date which I assume will be titled “What’s Going On: A Report on the Findings of the Committee to Find Out What’s Going On”.
Hillary may be the first candidate to get a bounce from both conventions. The roll call was strange and seemingly endless, they announced their votes and sometimes the non-Trumpian votes would “stick” and sometimes they wouldn’t. “We cast 25 votes for Trump and 15 for Cruz!” “Gotcha! You’re casting 40 votes for Trump!”
By the time you figure out what is going on, something else is going on. Just different enough so that you don’t really know what’s going on. Wince, and repeat.
I’m not watching the convention, so I don’t know to what you’re referring. I assume (or perhaps ‘hope’ is a better word) that you were not speaking literally.
