The Republican national Convention

I’m seeing on other websites, and posts from someone who says they live in Cleveland, that these, ahem, rumbles are between the KKK, Westboro Baptist Church, Black Lives Matter, and Alex Jones.

If you do a little Google-fu, you can see footage but the sites are extremely slow, probably because of all the traffic. I’ll watch them on You Tube later on.

New York makes it official. Trump is the republican nominee.

The New York delegate anounced the votes and promised that New York would be in play in the general election.

Well, they can dream…

Who starts the first, “Will we have a contested convention in 2020?” thread.

All you Republicans feel proud of your party now? When push came to shove he shoved…and y’all bent over and thanked him for it. I said when this all started that the hatred for anything Democratic was strong enough to allow any tool to be used against them, and I was assured over and over and fucking over again on this board that it could never happen-that the REAL Republicans would never stoop so low.
We have been shown the face of the the REAL Republican Party tonight.

Illinois, Arkansas, or New York?

And thank you, Republicans, for accomplishing one of the stupidest things ever to occur in my lifetime.
But on another note: It aint CRUZ!!! Wooo-hoooooo!! :):D:)

Who will be left to run? Tom Cotton and Jeff Sessions?

I think it’s a combination of Astley and Taylor Swift

Did Michigan ever vote?

Edit: OOPS - I posted that when I thought they were about to announce the total, rather than WV voting

It is, sadly, far likelier that the “rickroll” phrase would have been recognized than the Michelle excerpts.

Michigan is casting its votes now. 51 for Trump.

I haven’t been watching. Are the delegates actually happy and excited or is it more like a funeral in there?

Just as I predicted this morning.

Alaska has requested a poll, based on misrecorded counts. I imagine DC will too.

Most seem excited and ready to unify behind the Trumpster. Of course the roll call is the most entertaining part of any convention what with the funny hats and the screaming of arcane state minutia. My state has volcanoes and wheat fields.

I think the rules say they have to get a request from 15 states before they have to poll.

Hawaiowa?

And I assume they’d try to send the most enthusiastic people possible (because you saw what happens when they don’t).

Too bad, so sad, Alaska. Suck it up - official ruling - 28 votes to Trump.

The dumpster continues to burn as Paul Ryan nominates Donald Day Trump as the Republican candidate for President.
