A few of the Republicans in states denying children’s benefits programs have stated that they don’t want to create “dependent” people.
I think we sometimes underestimate what a driving force this is for conservatives. That getting help makes you weak. And that so many people getting help don’t “deserve” it.
No, the “outrage” is, why let Biden look good about anything?
None of these people actually give a shit about who pays for the bridge, they just don’t want to see Biden looking Presidential, and leading a government that actually works. The longer they can point to a pile of rusting steel in the harbor instead of a working bridge, the happier they’ll be.
And I think it’s only a matter of time before we see a dedicated concerted effort on the part of a Republican wing to commit terrorist acts in order to destabilize an elected Democrat government. It’s the next step beyond cheering destruction in order to make the other “team” look bad.
Please take note these two posts are actually separated by 3 days even though they’re back to back. I just read both of them at the same time. I don’t feel comfortable making a specific statement about what happened to sanders’s office, I just think this is very ironic.
You’re blithely dismissing the possibility that @Euphonious_Polemic is actually the one who torched Bernie’s office as a false flag operation. How else could he have accurately predicted such an act a mere three days earlier? Huh?
(Massive /s /s /s in case anyone takes me seriously.)
