The Republican Party is the Party of Evil

“Business Friendly” means less regulation, so they don’t have to file as much paperwork, or limit hours, etc. And don’t get penalized for even accidental slips.

In general, that phrase means they can pay lower minimum wages (some states have higher min wages than federal levels), have fewer protections for workers (wage protection, leave policies, workers comp), can fire without cause, etc.

I don’t know why they are so eager to work children harder. I suspect it’s in service to an agenda to make Lower minimum wage for minors, who presumably aren’t the family’s main income. They’ve already tried that argument for why minimum wage should be kept low, so I assume they want to make s two tier min wage.

Can children join unions? Can children form unions?

Only before birth. After, they’re screwed.

I wouldn’t say this is high on the evil scale, but super high on the “Republicans are nuts” scale. Over in WA State, they just held the Republican convention and it was calm and civil, just like you would expect. Just kidding! It was a shit-show with the Howler Monkey Caucus (aka Red Hat Society) flinging poop every which way. Check out the video.

In the end, the state GOP flipped Washington the Bird…

Can somebody explain this to me?
From the linked article:

Along with the gubernatorial race, the GOP on Saturday is slated to endorse candidates in state races including: attorney general, auditor, commissioner of public lands, secretary of state, superintendent of public instruction and a soon-to-be-vacant state Supreme Court seat.

All the Republican candidates seeking endorsements were asked to sign pledges that they would drop out of their respective races if the GOP didn’t endorse them.

Washington’s primary elections for state offices will be held Aug. 6. The general election this year will take place Nov. 5. Along with state offices, seats in the Washington Legislature and U.S. Congress will also be up for grabs.

From my reading of the article, the Republican state convention is held before the state primary (which is in August), and at this convention the Republican party usually endorses a candidate for governor, and candidates who are not endorsed are expected to drop out. So what is the point of the August 6th primary? It sounds like for state office the Washington Republican party has gone back to smoke filled rooms.

In this case, smoke-filled back rooms are way more reasonable than the convention goers general vote. “Sane repubs” vs bat-shit crazy maga’ers. But, that is the state of the crazy right. There is no room for “rinos” (where rino means normal republican).

True rather than smoke filled back rooms its crazy clown asylum, but still doesn’t that that cut out the actual Washington Republican voters, if every candidate but one is expected to drop out before the primary?

I think that was the hope, but I don’t believe they can force folks to withdraw. From my understanding of the outcome, Bird was the “winner” and is the endorsed candidate but Reichert will still be on the primary ballot.

Yes, that is what is happening this year, but that appears to be exceptional. If I’m reading the article correctly it appears that most years, by the time the state primary gets to the voters it was understood that only party chosen candidate would still be running, rather like Russia, where they have an election but only Putin is on the ballot.

Not even May and Kristi Noem is coming strong in the ‘most evil Republican’ race, with her bragging about how she hated a puppy before having it… at the age of 14 months… shot.

The Biden campaign is not letting this one wait:

Fourteen months.
A year and two months old. And she could not handle proper training, or come to love the dog to take care of it. So she shot it.

It’s actually a good metaphor for the GOP.

Did she “have it shot” or did she shoot it herself?

Dem governors and their dogs.

I’m pretty sure a lot of Republicans love their dogs, too. I hope these photos go viral.

I know he’s not a Governor but I can’t help imagining Biden posting a fake image of Commander attacking a Secret Service agent.

She claims she took it to a gravel pit and shot it. Then she went and got the mean family goat, and shot the goat. The goat didn’t die after the first shot, so she went to the truck for more ammo, then shot the goat again.

But then she realized that a construction crew had seen both events just as the school bus arrived to drop off her children, one of whom asked, “mommy, where’s Cricket [the dog]?”

I’m not making any of that up.

Many people are saying that Kristi Noem’s political future is dead, but it just went to go live on a farm.

I thought the title of this thread was a bit hyperbolic when it was started three years ago, but with Republican politicians like Kristi “Puppy Killer” Noem proudly showcasing their psychopathic tendencies in an election-year autobiography, of all places, I no longer think so. No, it’s right on the money.

I’m ashamed to admit that I was ever associated with this party. The party of Lincoln indeed…Lincoln must be rolling over in his grave.

They’d have thrown him in a gravel pit too.
