I’m very curious about this too, since it increasingly sounds like some shitass at the hospital made some assumptions about what turned out to be a stillbirth.
And teledildonics is right out.
Good. Reminds me of… a CSI? episode where a guy ran over another guy, the other guy was inside the car via a broken front windshield and up and coming guy left other guy to bleed out. (Other guy turned out to be suicidal, driver went to jail for letting other guy die to protect himself.)
Ravnsborg killed a pedestrian while driving in September 2020. Ravnsborg initially told police he had hit a deer but discovered the 55-year-old Boever’s body the following morning after returning to the scene of the crash.
(both running from a DUI… well, alleged for this guy vs the nice certainty of a TV show.)
Ravnsborg, who needs to buy another vowel or two for his name, was either thoroughly intoxicated at the time of the accident, OR he was outrightly lying by saying he thought he hit a deer, OR both. It’s unimaginable that the could have been sober and truly thought he had hit a deer. Either way, he was ALSO guilty of hit-and-run. He OUGHT to be in much deeper shit than merely being removed from office.
Mallard’s case was later adapted as an episode of the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (“Anatomy of a Lye”, aired May 2, 2002)
Also adapted as an entire season of Fargo, starring Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons.
Hey, neat, googling his name to check the spelling shows pictures of them together. Apparently they’ve been a couple ever since Fargo.
Law and Order, too (Darwinian, season 14), though in that case, the drunk driving was a secondary case ti the main one about how the homeless person ended up in the street to be able to be run over by the drunk driver.
And they’ve got two kids.
Somehow I wouldn’t have paired them off the bat, but glad they’re happy.
Thank you. I know many CSi or L&O cases come from actual happenstances but seldom do I know exactly where they changed just enough to make a show. The Liza Minnelli episode (Jon Benet Ramsey) and a NY obvious Michael Jackson one… I “got” right off the bat. Others that pique my interest usually don’t have an actual case to read about (a Stone Baby a CSi one… such a sad thing but interesting when you think about how a human body can work.)
ETA (added a “y” … why? the vs they.)
Glad to see he’s over that Lydia tramp.
There was one fascinating meta episode about an actress that was murdered in her apartment by a worker that was based on a real case of the murder of an actress that had been on a previous L&O episode. So you can watch the actress at work one day, and see the RFTH episode about her murder another.
Also turned into a feature film by Stuart Gordon, starring Stephen Rea and Mena Suvari: Stuck (2007 film) - Wikipedia
I just got an email “ from”John Stossel. I know there are (or were?) fans of the man here, but his new “Stossel in the Classroom” series looks kinda iffy. I guess Republicans are against teachers unless they use certain sources.
Or maybe I’m wrong and this is legitimate stuff kids should see?
A war of words between Michigan lawmakers. It’s also sad that “groomer” might lose the ability make people pay attention if RW assholes keep using it as a way to raise money and votes.
No surprise here.
The irony is that I’m pretty sure if David Perdue had been the governor of GA at the time of the 2020 election and Brian Kemp had been the soon to be unseated Georgia senator, Brian Kemp would be spouting the exact same shit about Perdue that Perdue is now saying about Kemp. It’s all performative.
Sure, blowing smoke, but toxic-as-fuck smoke that will motivate other evil R. fucks to try similar shit. The next batch of spaghetti just might stick to the wall next time.
Gee, wouldn’t ya know that the link shows threats that - odd - seem to coming only from the Republican side. ::scratching head::
Who’d a thunk.
ETA: And another nine excellent links at the bottom of Campaign of Fear page.
Kirsten seems very sweet, even if she prefers Florida to NJ.
Getting over people who never have ( and never will ) ever give two sh-ts about you is just a part of life.
Should we wish that women were never beautiful?
Of course not.
But when they climb into some other rich guys UBER… then we need to let them go.
They’re not Republicans. It’s Antifa dressed up as Republicans.
