I appreciate what Deeg and some others are trying to argue, but you can’t both sides this. The right-wing of most democracies right now is nowhere near as denialist and ignorant as the current GOP. Meanwhile the Dems are standard politicians trying to do a job.
A good example of the contrast is the Texas power outages.
AOC raises $5 million despite not having any obvious connection to Texas. Beto O’Rourke and his team helped make close to a million wellness checks delivering food and water.
Both politicians, and other Dems, have tried to start a debate on the Texan power grid, as its isolation and lack of regulation seem to be the main causes.
Meanwhile, Cruz escaping to Cancun may have made headlines, but the bigger issues are republicans doing essentially nothing to help their constituents, and trying to blame everything on wind power and even the green new deal. Note that all the main methods of energy production were at reduced capacity in Texas, with the reduced output from natural gas responsible for most of the deficit.
So once again, the GOP is just trying to spread ignorance instead of doing anything to help the people.
This is a simple example, stuff like the election is more egregious.
