The Republican Party is the Party of Evil

Republican judge turns every argument for keeping harassing and badgering anti-choice activists from verbal and physical assault on abortion seekers on its head. It’s a monsterous, bizzaro ruling.
WON’T SOMEONE THINK OF THE HARASSERS RIGHTS!!!

Only 10 feet??? That’s ridiculous. Should be 100. People should not have to fight assholes for health care.

I guess that protesters will be able to get up close and personal with politicians.

A Bush-appointed judge wrote that protective zones are unfair because they prevent protesters from engaging in “close, personal conversations" with patients.

Sounds like, as usual, the judge ignored the patient’s rights to not engage in conversation if they didn’t want to.

No no no.

There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

Politicians are the in-group. They will be protected. The patients are in the out-group. They have no rights.

In Colorado, you can’t wear political paraphernalia when voting. There are rules to how close you can even get the polling place if wearing a shirt or hat supporting one side or the other.

Does this mean we can get up in his face in public?

Sure should, but republicans don’t believe it’s a two way street.

I believe it should, as I believe it’s a two-way street.

It never has been, and never will be.

One law for me, another for thee. This is the Republican way.

I think this means Lindsey Graham will never have a peaceful restaurant meal again.

Wasn’t it Bush who started the whole concept of “free speech zones”?

Buses of migrants were dropped off tonight in front of the VP residence in D.C. in 18 degree weather. They were met by compassionate and loving people who got them warm clothes, food and shelter. No piece of shit Republican governor has taken credit for this one yet. Probably far to busy celebrating the joy and peace of Christmas Eve with family while cackling at their brilliant plan for hurting people to own the libs. Republican Jesus would be proud.

Man, this just makes me sputter with rage. How in hell do they sleep at night?

It’s easy to sleep when you lack a conscience.

Very soundly, on $1500 sheets in a $4.5 million house.

Yep. No one’s going to admit to it, but they all know they do it too.

And are absolutely convinced of your own rightness and righteousness because you are willing to inflict every burden, sacrifice or hardship to prevent an existential threat to what is rightful and good. God will forgive, nay has already forgiven you, for this because He knows this is all part of The Plan.

 Ann_Hedonia you are a treasure…

But y’know, seriously… that is part of what’s wrong with them. They are convinced that everyone is equally succeptible to the Temptation of Perversion and that the only way to keep that under control is to force it into being kept hidden on the Down Low, and to hush it up if someone who is otherwise righteous falls for it.

Similarly they are convinced that everyone who achieves power will want to exact harsh revenge for all wrongs real or imagined, and the way to prevent themselves from being on the receiving end is to make sure nobody else is ever in the position to do it to them.

And making a law that they don’t agree with counts as an attack, so they’ll do it first.

Why aren’t we taking more about the incredibly profuse pathological liar (and criminal) George Santos, about to be sworn in as a Republican congressman from New York, with the GOP’s blessing? I found only a couple mentions, in P & E. Fascinating story that resonates with so many themes Dopers love to discuss.

Am I missing something?
