thanks
150 years later, NC is south of the Mason Dixon line, so doggio is Southern.
It’s spider pig, damnit. Here’s what one looks like.
Rosie,150+ years later someone is still bringing up a war that they lost.
Happy Birthday Emily!!!
Here’s the latest update of MOOOOOOM’S life as a [del]pirate[/del] tourist on the high seas. Note the warnin’ at the bottom. Spidey is in sooooooooooo much trouble!
I’m a bad Southerner. I don’t care about the UnCivil War. I blame my New Jersey heritage.
And we’re still paying for it.
Hmm, someone should point out to Moooom that not much warrants a 911 call in Europe, 'cos that ain’t our emergency number- it’s 112 (Europe wide, though countries have their own).
This public information broadcast was brought to you by homemade elderflower booze.
Don’t tell my mom, but The Roar of the greasepaint, the smell of the crowd has to be the most boring musical ever. (Currently at intermission.)
Boring day
Just suffering the net, took a nap, and irk.
We’re having Chinese for dinner, Sah-son didn’t get a choice this time.
It is a beautiful day though, cool and sunny with a nice breeze.
StickyBuns I once saw a production of The Roar of Greasepaint The Smell of The crowd. I concur with your opinion. A real YAWNER
Tboomers are in the area. I hear thunderatin’ and it’s all cloudy out. Come on tboomers!
In other news, I have been a productive bear. I made a for real pot roast in a cast iron Dutch oven. It will be dindin tomorrow along with fresh green beans which I cooked already as well. Tomorow I shall heat it all up and make some cornbread. I also boiled a whole chikin and deboned it. It shall get made into chikin ‘n dumplin’s for Tuesday’s dindin. I made up some burgers for dindin either Wednesday or Thursday cause I’m thinkin’ the chikin 'n dumplin’s may carryover for another dindin. Firday will be pizza night and I shall do some bbq, coleslaw and fries for Sattidy. I feel so domesticated! Take that Food Network!
ETA: I have also written up tomorrow’s MMP. Go Me!
Some massive thunderboomers are coming through the mountainous region. My power went off for about an hour. I had to get out the emergency candles!
Protip: make sure you keep your candlesticks near the emergency candles so that you won’t have to go digging through your closet in the dark to find them.
Happy Birthday EmilyG!
It is nice and moderate in ABQ today - temps in the low to mid 80s. It was a bit cool this morning, even! Beautiful day, though. Went to the Farmer’s Market store - they were roasting a big batch of Hatch chiles!! They had about 10-12 roasters out there, and folks were lined up for em!! They do smell good, at least to me, when they’re roasting them, I just can’t eat 'em when they’re HOT (lol and those are HOT, let me tell you!) I missed my son, though, who dropped by to visit while my daughter and I were out at the Farmer’s Market! Oh well, he had a great day yesterday–his 9th grade team won their first game!!! It’s his first real game as coach, too!! I know he’s on a cloud right now, and I’m just happy for him. He seems to be enjoying teaching too. So glad for him.
Happy Sunday, what’s left of it that is, to all.
I’d like to change my assessment to excruciating. My mom absolutely loved it so I guess that’s what really matters.
Happy Birthday, Midget!
Finally got my son to look at pictures of the house and pick out which bedroom he wants. I showed him the furniture I picked out for him and he approves.
I am so afraid of jynxing myself or I’d post a link to pictures.
The prettiest bedroom is the middle room and that is the one he choose after making sure I didn’t want it. The problem with the middle room is that is where the door to the attic is so whoever has that room will have the attic traffic, not that there will be much attic traffic. I thought he would want the back bedroom but it’s cool any way he wants it. He is pretty minimalist so his room won’t be cluttered up and block access to the attic door.
I figured I’d get the front bedroom. I’ll like it because it has windows on two sides and I’ll get a good cross breeze - I hope
Thank God the weekend is over. But I got a cold beer and a warm puppy, so it’s all OK>
Hey lots of us Wisconsin boys are gentlemen!
I’ve been mistaken for a Canadian, though. I guess because so many of my posts are aboot hockey, eh?
Down here, it’s the “War of Northern Aggression”.
Hope you get sprung, Red.
sari, I’d pick that one ,too. But I like light.
Do you consider North Carolina to be Southern, Dogbutler?
You do have good barbecue sauce.
It most definitely is. are you talking about the Eastern, vinegar based sauce, as god himself intended, or that heretic Western ketchup sauce?
doggio, Yankeeor not, you do know good que.
38 years in Eastern N.C. will teach you that.
