Well, schneiderbear, I dont think he is patriotic, religious, and interested in racial equality simply for the fortune and fame. He has been a public figure for over 30 years, and he has done more good than harm. What is it about this guy, who obviously tries to do good, that pisses you off so much? Is it that he ‘grandstands?’ Lots of public figures love the camera. Does that make them bad people? When Jesse Jacksons ‘grandstanding’ gets someone killed or hurt, instead of helping people, then maybe you can call him a prick.
peace,
JB
You are right, he was caught, but funnier yet, it was reported. Today the report is that the Taliban denied twice that they asked Jackson. Jackson has ‘altered’ his story to say, “it doesn’t matter who initiated…”
Also, the last I heard on the news was that JJ decided against going. I am very glad; hopefully this coverage of him the last couple days will “hold him” for awile.
Did I hear correctly today that Ari Fleisher said that instead of Jackson talking to the Taliban, he should be talking to his mistress’ lawyer about illegal funds (very loosely paraphrased).
To respond to Jabe’s last post, JJ incites crowds into a self righeous “cause”. Example, when that high school had a RIOT during a football game, Jesse was plastered all over the place trying to save these boys from the “brawl” they created.
How do you trust someone that has used funds from two of his non-profit entities to pay his mistress? This has not been proven in a court of law. So, he is innocent. As an innocent, why does he refuse to turn over his financial statements?
I don’t trust a person that is telling the President how to repent of his affair with Monica, when he had just had a child with his mistress.
Actually, I think Abe Babe’s joke sums it up in a nutshell. It just disgusts me that events turn into an issue about HIM.

Hi again. One more thought. I appreciate that during this exchange on the message board, no one has accused anyone else of being “racist”.
Everyone is always afraid to speak out (especially against a black leader) because they don’t want to be called a racist. That happens far too often.

I believe I heard the comment to which you are referring today while listening to the press conference on the radio. I am certain that Mr. Fleischer was not responsible for this statement. Having lived in Baltimore, I immediately recognized that the voice that uttered this statement belongs to “Baltimore’s Own Les Kinsolving.” He is notorious for trying to advance his own agenda via “cleverly” phrased questions during press conferences. AFAIK, he still works for WCBM in Baltimore, one of the conservative stations in the area.
His proudest accomplishment, which he prattles on about endlessly, was a bit part in the movie Gettysburg. He refers to his wife as “The Berkeley Democrat,” and she is a good restraining force on him. For more information on this colorful, relatively harmless and occasionally funny guy, look here. If you click on the link, beware of the voice.
