Did anyone else see this movie? I was actually impressed and, though I hesitate to say it, I was frightened like little girl throughout much of the film. I didn’t buy into the “urban legend” aspect, but it still got me.

I did have a question or two about it though:

Did anyone else notice the subliminal “rings” throughout the film. I recall at least two split second images.

Why was the girl in the beginning in the closet but the guy at the end positioned in a chair?

What did the ladder falling represent? I understood the connection up until the image of it falling over. I suspect we didn’t get to see it because of film editing.

All in all I thought the plot was pretty good and the story was well told. Anyone else out there have an opinion?

I thought the ladder was the ladder to the loft in the horse barn. I don’t know why it was falling. I also don’t know the significance of where the bodys were found.

I would like to know why the Naomi Watts character was so scrupulous about not letting anyone see the tape, and she went and left it in the VCR for her own kid to see.
