In the rather heated thread about Tony Snow’s death, Frank , as a poster said :
which I think implies that he can’t do that, being a mod.
The rules for the Pit has this to say about the ignore list:
Do not say or imply another user is on your ignore list
The ignore list is a tool for your convenience, not a weapon to use against other posters. Besides, telling someone you disagree with “ha ha, I can’t hear you anymore!” is simply too lame, even for the Pit.
Now **Frank ** did not say that. He said he would like to do so and I’m wondering if he’s breaking the rule by saying that.
This is for clarification only, I was a bit surprised by the post, that’s all.
Since **Frank ** doesn’t, and can’t (as a moderator), even have an ignore list, I think it should be rather obvious that it isn’t. Merely saying that you would like to be able to ignore a poster isn’t a rule violation.
Tuberville v. Savage
[facetious] Can I ask for my ability to have an ignore list be removed? [/f]

No, the issue was just if one is allowed to say “You’d look good on my ignore list!”.
Obviously a mod can’t have an ignore list.
Thanks for clearing this up for me. Asked and answered, feel free to close it.
Personally, I wouldn’t think it would be a violation unless you actually said or implied you were putting someone on your ignore list (e.g. "You will look good on my ignore list).
Done. Glad to clarify.
