The Scent of Sex

The book mentioned here is Perfume, by **Patrick Suskind ** (German author, with an umlaut -double points- on the u). I loved that book.

Great line, from an almost great movie.

Well, no. Sweat isn’t one of the more pleasant scents, to me, either. But, the scent that rises from a woman when I’m going down on her? OMIGOD! If they bottled that stuff, I’d be walking around in a perpetual stupor, like this ->

Of course, it has to be the right woman. Delta-9’s right; some women do smell like fish. Ick! (Or, “Ich”, for the finny punsters, out there.)

I’ve said this elsewhere, but, the scent, taste, and pheromones of the right woman can literally stone me, pretty much out of my mind. Luckily for those women, I can still perform orally, and exceedingly well, judging by the reviews, in that condition. It is, unfortunately, rare. But, I still really love the scent of a woman, when she’s aroused, even if she’s not a producer of the “magic” scent.

I hope I’m not stupid and missed a previous reference to this song, but…

Hell… now I want someone to smell me to see if I’m a good smell or bad smell… I don’t think you can smell yourself can you? (ok yes you can when you need a shower but I’m not talking about that lol - btw just had one, so am fresh as a daisy now).

I dunno if I smell good or not - my natural scent, not the stuff I put on after.

Nobody ever commented - thats probably good in one way and not so good in another lol…

You shouldn’t … there’s far too much of them to be envied :frowning: :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I thought it was a great movie… :stuck_out_tongue:

And those are the smells I was talking about in addition to sweat. Apparently I have yet to be with the “right” girl, because I honestly have never felt that way, even remotely! Non directly sexual smells I love, but all the other stuff, I don’t know, I could do without it most of the time. But apparently that’s just me from this thread

Well, I kinda figured it would come off that way, but you know that’s not what I meant. Besides, as long as Rhino loves your guts, who the heck cares?

LOL yeah, I’m a girl, I would say that kinda thing… and he does… just really wishing he was here right now :frowning:

I wanna snuggle right up there (up where you think?) oh yeah, right up there  :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, maybe it’s not just you. Maybe, it’s just me. That’s one of the things I was wondering, when I started this thread. Maybe, I’m just more “aromatically inclined” than most.

No, not really. We’re so used to our own scent, it’s completely unnoticeable to us.

And, stop that whining about your tummy, or I’ll turn you over my knee and paddle your behind!

Of course you’re not stupid! What kind of thing is that to say? You’re one of the brightest, most perceptive people I know. Does someone need a hug? {{{{SFT}}}}

Actually, it’s kind of a side note, but you make a good point, in a backhanded way. There really aren’t many songs that mention smell, are there? Or, am I just not remembering them?

Sweetie, you are a beautiful person, and that’s what’s important.

Oh I wish…

Awhhhhhh you’re so sweet blushes thank you

I have a fantastic talent of taking this totally off topic… apologies!

…said the pot to the kettle.

Thank you. {{{Dave}}}

And you are welcome, Rhino’sHoney

I am addicted to my baby’s smell. After her first visit she forgot a pair of her p.j’s and I spent every night until we were together again sleeping with them close to my face so I could smell her. I started to panic when, after a month, they started to loose her scent. But luckily we were due for another visit! Woo and Hoo! There is just something about the way she smells. Makes me crazy but also calms me all at the same time. I crave it and it is something I desire beyond compare…

irishfella has just left after a wonderful visit, everything smells of him, and me, and us, and sex. it’s so good.

He doesn’t wear aftershave/cologne, and i sort of miss knowing i can use a bottle of something to evoke him when he’s not with me…maybe i should get him some for his birthday…

excuse me, i have to go and open my bedroom window…i may be gone some time…

I know excactly what you mean! Couldn’t put that just right smell into words though, even though I’m lucky enough to experience it regularly (with a wonderful person attached).

By the way, gf has her period now and I noticed this morning that she smells slightly different (Not from down there, mind you, but from the neck/shoulder/collarbone area that I love snuggling my nose into). Different but definitely not any worse… still drives me nuts!

When I saw this post I remembered something I read about pheromones actually broadcasting people’s immune defense. The theory is that you’ll unconsciously go for a partner with different immune genes than your own - which makes sense because then chances are your offspring will have a stronger immune defense and greater chance of survival. Just googled it - http://www.fiora.com/stern.htm was the best reference I could find. Interesting stuff.

Whatever the scientific explanation, it just feels damn good. Like I say, “let’s fire up them neurons, baby!”

It’s funny that you should post this since I was just thinking about it this weekend at the boyfriend’s. I can’t describe the scent, but it drives me absolutely wild when we’re really getting into it. Although, I just like the smell of him when he’s around. I got him a cologne set for Christmas, but it’s not that that I love - it’s just him, clean and fresh and manly - I feel like I just want to bury my head in his neck and stay there forever.

Ava

Tom sent me a sweater of his.

I keep it tightly sealed in a plastic bag for when I *really need it.

Warm and sticky.

Well, near where I live are many Jasmine trees. Their sent can be quite strong at times, I must admit I like the smell of them.
A female friend of mine commented that the Jasmine scent smelled to her of spunk.

Myself I am not very attuned to my sense of smell, and don’t have a clear idea of the scent of sex.

Oh yes, you must read this book if you get the chance. It’s a beautiful story, about a boy in stench ridden Paris who was born with a highly developed sense of smell. Highly recommended.
