Obviously I waited too long to claim, but it was so frustrating yesterday. I kept thinking that once I got time to post my rebuttal to amrussel, I could get votes off me without having to claim. I also assumed that once I did claim, people would move to unvote me, although I don’t know why the hell I thought that, seeing what happened to peeker on day one. Oh well, several other people got heat for claiming too early…guess it’s hard to hit that sweet spot!
Or are spoiled and so can’t add much of use to this discussion at the moment.
You did what you could, Thing Fish. It was a tough position to be in. So many town power claims flying around, nobody trusts any of them, limited time to act.
yep, i was jousting at shadows the whole game. don’t know why i thought fishy would help. probably just the first person i glommed onto. oh well, bollux.
I would say that each the final three lynches in that game would have gone differently without all the talk about who could pair with whom. There wasn’t even a discussion at the end of the game about who might have actually been playing scummily, because the math pointed to me, end of game.
This is not a commentary on what’s going on in this game, of course, but it seems to me like Chronos sure has a weird blind spot when it comes to this program.
Hm, guess everyone is spoilered. I just caught up with the thread. I don’t know if I’m getting better or if the game is just easier when you aren’t playing, but I figured out that Chronos was scum and that something wasn’t right about the Bling Brothers. Interesting game…right now I’m feeling that Tom is probably town. I don’t have a strong scum feeling about anyone now, but if I had to vote I would be looking at AllWalker for playing a much quieter game than he typically does.
ETA: Congratulations on your new family member, Mahaloth!!!
Why would a Mafiate bus two of his own teammates? To win, of course.
If you have time, go and read the second Mafia game on the Dope. Basically, when it came down to the last five, Storyteller was trusted by everyone because he had led the charge against two players who had turned up Mafia on death. No-one believed he was Mafia himself.
He was the Godfather. He threw two of his own team under the bus, just so that, at the end, he would be above suspicion.
Tom is playing the “Scum wouldn’t do that” card so hard it makes my teeth itch.
I think that having read that game is the primary reason why I always get a scummy vibe off of Storyteller in games since then. I know that, when he’s Scum, he looks just exactly like a Townie, so whenever he looks just exactly like a Townie, I always think he’s Scum.
kind of my mindset as well but a little twist on it. i figure when i am town and don’t know any alignments then he just has to be scum and has to be eliminated. and when i am scum, i know he is town so he has to be eliminated. the above being that i have never been on his team.
