My play in this game sucked far worse than usual. I never had a chance to read the game thread, I didn’t have time / energy in the evenings to take part, and my day job had lots of stuff.
Should I just stay the heck away from MafiaScum?
I’ve got a similar problem. In the five games I’ve played, I’ve triggered people’s Scum-dar every. single. time.
In Werewolf: The Split, I was Eaten the first Night.
In Insipid, I revealed as a mason the second Day.
And in Lost, I nearly got lynched anyway.
I’m completely confused…seems like Town was on a brief roll there, but whoever the remaining scum are seem to be very well hidden.
It strikes me that **Drain Bead **(2462) was very quick to accept that **Tom **was Town based on what **Oredigger **reported the music box had told him.
**Scuba, **I have no idea what the people who voted for you were thinking, and if I were still playing, I would want to go over that bandwagon with a fine-toothed comb.
Thing Fish, I’d appreciate a review of my playstyle in all five games, and some advice on how to improve it. (Which may include the mafiascum forum.)
Ya know, for once I think I want to be spoiled before the game is over. I think I’ve actually caught a game where either side could win, and it’d be fun to watch the game from the point of view of the scum.

You don’t know the half of it. I’d say this game has been horribly unfair, but I don’t know who it’s been unfair to. It really did end up being twisted in all sorts of ways pede didn’t even intend.

That could describe pretty much every game I’ve ever run, you know. Smash Bros ended up horribly twisted to the SCUM, T2 had a game clinching mass claim on Day 2, Crimson Glyph was nearly broken in half by mod-questions, and even Real Life people got unusually confused by the character powers. I believe that the only game I made where everything went pretty much as expected was Hamlet. Heck, even in The Split (which was supposed to be simple), the Rancher/Farmer divide ended up being completely underutilized by both townies and scum. Which is why I measure my games’ successes by how much people enjoyed them–by that measure, only The Crimson Glyph was a failure so far. And so far, by that measure, Screamers hasn’t been doing that bad.
