The SDMB Weight Loss Club - Partie Cinq (Part Five)

I’ll join in too:

I started out at 256 about two months ago. I’ve been on a pretty stringent walking (2-3 miles/day) and weight-training plan (30 min, 3x per week), along with a balanced diet (the Food Guide Pyramid is my Bible). I was at the doc’s yesterday and weighed in at 231.5, and they said that their scale weighs about 3-4 pounds too heavy, so I’m probably under the 230 mark for the first time since high school

I’m hoping to add a little morning run soon too.

256/230/200

I dont just have a weight goal i have a waist goal. Weight is 302/259/220. Waist is 50.5/42/35.

Im starting to fear the days of painless dieting are over for me. I used to just eat 2900 kcal a day in lean pockets, diet soda and fat free pudding while doing 40 minutes of cardio most days and the fat melted off. I’m afraid taht won’t work anymore and i have to start actually ‘feeling’ like im on a diet. This sucks. But i guess i will give it a try. Im going to up cardio exercise by 400 calories and cut daily calories to 2600 and see if that does anything. That ‘should’ be an extra 4000 or so caloric deficit a week. Hopefully that will get things moving again.

Nothing new to report WRT personal progress. I did find a new product, however. My store carries a brand of ice cream made by Pet, sweetened with Splenda instead of sugar. And I love it!

Not a stockholder, just a satisfied customer.
