Well, you guys may have kicked me around this week (I knew you had designs on my second place spot, Missy), but I’ve taken it out on the other hapless PT players. Just took second place in todays $10-$100 added 4pm tournament. Go me, again!
Man, over $100 profit!! Nice payday.

That works for me considering it’s the first large tourney I’ve entered.

Good job Miss Take! I was also playing in that tournament and was as high as fifth, but I got killed when my pocket Jacks lost to pocket 5s that got a set on the turn…ARRRRGGHHHH. Ended up 28th. Limit Hold’Em kind of annoys me. You can’t shake players, and they stick around with crap and get lucky. I think I will play in the $5 no’limit this afternoon.

How about this for a bad way to go out of a tournament: I have AK suited and I go all-in. It’s early in the tournament and I am not low stacked or anything like that. The person right behind me calls, putting themsleves almost all-in, too. We show our cards and she also has AK but it is unsuited. So this should split the pot about 90% of the time. I should win about 7.5% and I will lose about 2.5%. Well, you probably can guess what happened, she got the flush on the river.

I have a good one. I’m in the $5 tourney. Down to the final 4. I go all in preflop with pocket 9s. Guy calls me. Turns out he has K/Q off suit. Flop comes out K/K/Q(Oh the pain). It gets worse though, as he hits a 4th K on the river. Coin flip turned into an ass beating heh.
Two bad beats in a row did me in after the break…alot of Jacks conspired against me in both hands when I was holding pocket queens in one hand, Kings in the other.
But last night’s $5 tournament took the cake…on my fourth hand, I was dealt bullets. I raised 100. Five callers. Flop: AK5 all off suit for a set. I checked, the 3rd guy bets 500, two players fold and I go all-in. First guy on my left calls, the second guy folds and the original bettor calls. Turn: J offsuit from the other cards, so no possible flushes. The other two bettors had some pocket change left, and they went all-in. River: T. I became extremely sheepish, knowing that one of those two guys had a queen for a straight. One did and the other guy had aces and kings and got the boot as well…so I was the first one out, and he was the second one out, and the guy that straighted was launched into first place for quite a while…sigh.
And then I hopped into a .25/.50 game and got BOTH entry fees back for those two sucky losses. 
I didn’t have any money online for various reasons, and I don’t have my main bank account hooked up to my firepay account, so I couldn’t put any money on the site. But I felt like playing, and my friend lent me $100 on paradise poker the other day. The first night I wasn’t really focused or playing well and sunk down to $45… So… yesterday I started off with $45, and just absolutely dominated every game I was in last night and today. Turned that $45 into over $1050 in a day. So when I get around to cashing out I’ll put some money on this site.
Does everyone/anyone realize there is an SDMB private tourney scheduled for tonight, Wednesday July 27th, and nothing for tomorrow?
Hopefully there’s a game on tonight, and PT didn’t mess things up too bad, like GO seems to be saying. I’m ready and rarin’ to go.
I went and looked after this was posted and I didn’t see one scheduled, in progress, or completed. Makes me wonder if it was a glitch or a cookie issue or what.
At any rate, hope everybody can make it this evening. I’ve trash-talked Yeti to get him riled up (like he needs riling), and I’m sure MissTake has blood in her eye.
I saw in GQ where CapnPitt is having computer meltdown issues, that can’t be good…
Yeah Duke not good at all. I’m out for tonight. With a little luck and a cash infusion, I should have a new machine this weekend.

I resubmitted tonight’s game, but if it doesn’t show up by about 8pm, I’ll give them a call.
Just wanted to let potential late-comers know that there’s a version upgrade, so you need to allow a little extra time for signing on.

I’ve been just missing out of the money in those latenight 11pm PDT $5+.50 games…I need to stop making that one critical mistake that keeps me out of the money. Last night…I went all-in with J6h (I was BB) with two hearts on the flop, leaving me a decent flush draw…also the offcard was a J, giving me a pair, but the other guy had a K matched up with the Kh on the flop…turn and river cards: diamond rags. Doh!
I will be there…80% sure. I seem to be getting bad beats every tournament. Last night I was playing in the $5 Charity and was doing ok. Was in for about half my chips (the blinds were pretty substantial) with K10o and on the flop it K-10-6 rainbow. I bet the pot, and I get raised all-in, whcih I of course call. Dude has AQ and gets his friggin’ J on the turn and with a blank on the river I’m out… 20th out of 50. At least I lasted longer than Charity. It seems to me that there are a lot of straights and flushes at Pokertropolis
