Go back and read posts #504, 505 and 506 on how to sign up for the game once you have been put on the invite list…you will usually do this a few hours (or up to a few minutes) before the actual start of the game on Thursdays, 7pm PDT (10 EDT).

I did an office game last Friday night and won $125 for taking 1st out of 10 players ($20 each)…my 43o two paired on the flop and the other guy went all in post-flop with Aces…and he did not improve.
I finish my work early today, decide to go in for a $10+1 NL tourney since I’d won about $15 last night in open limit.
First hand, I get pocket T. Two other players pay for the flop. It comes two twos and one other random card. One of the other two players puts in about 200. The other drops, I call, since I have two pair. Turn’s a 7. Other remaining guy puts in another 500 or so of his starting 1500. I call, since I still have a hidden top pair and the pair 2. River’s another 7. Other guy goes all-in. I contemplate him having trip 2s, but decide that because this is just using last night’s earning’s I’ll take a chance, and call.
He’s holding QA. Great preflop, absolutely useless with the cards on the table, where he now has two pair 7s and 2s, and I have my hole pair T with pair 7. Send him packing.
Let’s hope the rest of the tourney goes this well.
Oh well. Went out 17 in a field of 32. My downfall was about 40 minutes in, when I had pocket pair 8, and the table at the river was 679T and a junk card. So I put the one other player remaining all in for about $2500. The bastard had 8J! Took me from top one or two down to the basement very very hard.
It was just fighting to not lose too quickly from there on out. Made it about an hour and a half total in the tournament, but I just couldn’t muster up any momentum after that devastating hand. Last hand was TJ suited, and I was called by somebody with A3 off. Bugger caught another A, and I was dead in the water on any tens, jacks, straight or flush attempts.
I think I bet it right, though. There wasn’t much out there unless a guy had stuck around with 57 and I had trips. A bad beat for the guy but it’s not like I was betting hard on crap.
Well, came in 15th in the 99c tourney tonight. For a while I was achin’- even the 'bots were kicking my ass. But a well placed all in knocked me back up.
BUT then I got penguined. Bad. Lost 15k. Went all in on the next big blind, tried to sucker the small blind player, and proceeded to go buhbye.
Still, a whole $3.96 won. Better than a boot to the head.
Are all these tournaments at Pokertropolis? When I sign in for our Thursday night gig, it looks like the other tournaments there aren’t very well attended.
And to my cat, Mittens, I leave my entire, vast boot to the head.
Yes - the .99C tourneys are every night at 8pm CST. Last night 200 people were enrolled even though there was supposed to be a 150 person limit. Sometimes they’ll open a second tourney starting time 8:40. I know they have both Limit and NL tourneys and they also have them in the morning too.
I finally closed out watching the final table- the leader had 198K, the four others were between 8K - 40K. Almost too painful watching him toy with the other players.
You should all be very proud of me; I managed to donate almost all my money to the good folks at Lagrange Lane. I lost most of it in two big hands. This is the first one:

Flopped a set of fours; second 8 gives me the boat. Unfortunately it gives him the higher boat. Hopefully I’ve gotten rid of all the bad luck and it’ll go smoother on thursday.
