Ack! Firefly starts here tonight.
What to do. What to do.
Ack! Firefly starts here tonight.
What to do. What to do.
If it’s me, I won’t need a whoopy cushion… :o
Last game of the quarter! OoooOOOOOooooooOOOO…the goose bumps!
As long as I can signup by 4pm PDT, I will be there, but might bot the first 15-30 minutes due to my kid’s baseball game (I’m the coach too). We are UNDEFEATED (1-0) and look to continue our winning streak…just like here…
On second thought, Duckie, I’ll bring some firecrackers. Then, when Yeti, erm, foofs he shall create his own lovely pyrotechnics program.
OOOOHHHH ahhhhhhhhh
I’m in for tonight. I’m about to start doing some major studying in a few minutes, so I’ll definitely need a break six hours from now.
You guys know anything about solving 10 equations for 10 variables? (Kinda sounds like a musical, doesn’t it?)
Trivia league is cancelled tonight, so I’ll be there. Problem is, it’s disrupting my routine, so heaven knows how my memory will hold up. Getting old sucks. And so does my poker playing.
Good idea! But from the sound of things, we may have to worry about his HEAD exploding, not his…nether regions
Or an equally esoteric night of chamber music.
I’m in. Plenty of paperwork to get done beforehand, but it shouldn’t even lead to botting the start.
Uh, not really. But I’m up for a trade. I’ll figure that out, and you write my paper on Virgil and Plato.
Maybe this can help.
Thanks! I’ll find a way to work “Doggy Doctor” and “Fuzzy Pet Parlor” into my conclusion somewhere. After all, what is the Aeneid really if not Aeneas’ heroic struggle to help his doggy friend get well again? I think I’ll title the paper “The Treat That’s Better Than Candy.” How can I lose?
Anyway, is the tourney listed yet? It wasn’t earlier, but it’s still pretty early.
Still don’t see the SDMB tournament signup yet…and I’m getting a little nervous…although an ad that “Shana Hiatt is All-In” kind of put me at ease.
I see an ad for “Cheat at Texas Hold 'Em! Don’t play Hold 'Em online if you don’t know how to cheat!”
So THAT’S how Yeti does it!
I really, really need this break. The only reason I’m on the computer is because I was trying to work out a truth table for a 5-input NAND gate? Do you have any idea how hard it is to come up with all 30 permutations without duplicating or missing one?
You’re on, Kyy. I hope you know electronics, ionic strength, and acid calculations.
Plato and Virgil? Weird combination.
You’re not kidding. Here’s the assignment.
Using The Republic as a basis, evaluate Virgil’s presentation of Aeneas as a leader in the Aeneid. Consider how, when, and where Aeneas carries out Socrates’ stipulations for leaders/guardians and when he falls short of Socrates’ model.
It’s really not that long of a paper (5 pages), but a lot of tedious thumbing through and searching for textual evidence of the painfully obvious. Plus, it’s due tomorrow morning and I just started.
I took an Intro to Engineering Concepts course back in '98, so I know just enough to have no idea what you’re talking about.

What’s the big mystery?
The mystery to me is what the hell you’re spitting about.
You got 32
Oh, I know how to do it. It’s just boring, tedious, and prone (for me at least) to errors while doing it. Luckily, I did it before you posted anything. And thirty-two just seems wrong. The total number of combinations is n!/(n-1), right?
I think Yeti has bribed somebody to not put the game up!! Trying to lock in a win, that rascal.
Come on, this is Yeti we’re talking about. As soon as game time rolls around, I bet he starts a fight at the baseball game so he can get tossed and rush home.
