It’s just an famous unsolved mystery at this point. It would be like finding out who Jack the Ripper was. Or maybe more like D.B. Cooper because it was recent enough that there’s still the potential that the people involved are still alive.

I don’t know if Crater was killed in 1930. The point I was making was that he wasn’t just taken by surprise. He was up to something. Right before his disappearance he destroyed a bunch of files and withdrew a large amount of money from the bank. And he was traveling around a lot and lying to conceal where he was going and what he was doing.

It’s possible. There’s no statute of limitations on homicide.
