My head hurts.
True. It makes us upchuck, but we’ve all seen it.
They aren’t the only team that hasn’t won in over a month.
Yea, I’ve noticed that too. It’s almost as enjoyable as the situation in Pittsburgh. So, does Danny Boy give Stevie the axe this off season or not?
After ten weeks of football we finally know the answer to this one.
Still, no sympathy expected for a 9-1 team.
We can put this one back to bed now.

Tail’s still wagging though
It’s nice of the other AFC North teams to keep the Steelers in contention! The only team showing promise is Cincy.
The “father of the jarbaby” didn’t do too badly; what the hell has happened to Tampa?
I’m ready for some Monday Night Football!
So me and my 3 buddies get together once a week and play Madden 2004 franchise mode. We all use our favorite teams, of course. We all expected those favorite teams to go deep into the playoffs this year. And all the pundits agreed that our four teams had great potential. Who are those four teams?
Giants
Jets
Bills
Steelers
The new question is how many of our coaches will be fired. The over/under on that is 1.5.
Oh, just calling it ahead of time - the Browns are going to whomp the Steelers… again.
Careful there, SenorBeef. The Browns have this nasty habit of losing games they’re supposed to win coughSanDiegocough and I won’t have you wreck what passes for a playoff race in the AFC North.
Well the Browns didn’t play with heart against San Diego, they just showed up to get their paychecks, unfortunately. It seems like the KJ move has really stirred up the team, though, and if that’s the case, and they’re really playing hard, then the Steelers don’t stand a chance.
Anyway, so it’ll embarass me later, I’m gonna say we stomp them by at least 14 points.
Also, random question for the thread, but this is the only on-going football related thread open - does inside the nfl on HBO cut out games that aren’t deemed interesting enough regularly? I thought they covered all of the games in the highlights - and only dedicated a minute if they were boring - but the Browns-Cardinals game wasn’t on this week.
They only cover games where Two professional teams square off. The Cardinals have professional players but due to their ownership are Not considered to be a professional team.
I’m confused. I figured that was just a sarcastic knock against the Cardinals, but since you specifically pointed out ownership, is there something to what you’re saying?
HERE YOU GO STEELERS, HERE YOU GO (CLAP, CLAP)
HERE YOU GO STEELERS, HERE YOU GO (CLAP, CLAP)
HERE YOU GO STEELERS, HERE YOU GO (CLAP, CLAP)

Bill Bidwell (owner, Cardinals) is a tool. He doesn’t own the team to win games, he owns the team to make a buck and to make him cooler in the old rich boy crowd. He is why no one in St.Louis gave a fark when they left. Bill Bidwell is actually a bigger asshole than Jerry Jones, Al Davis and Art Modell combined.
What dead0man said. Only I think he kind of candy coated it a bit.
Bidwell is much worse than that.

Tail waggin for 10-1 Chiefs
When you’re done with your smelling salts, can the Browns offense have them? Or maybe you have a spare cattle prod I can borrow?
Eesh, they looked worse than my high school team used to.
That was painful. Pittsburgh gained yards on like 5 plays and they still manage to win. We gave that one away.
Well, the Steelers’ march for this year has come to an end, and not even the most one-eyed Baltimore fan could have predicted that Pittsburgh would go 6-10, especially after the first game of the regular season. I’m happy with the Ravens’ 10-6 season, although they’re going to have to move it up a notch or two in order to beat Tennessee and New England.
The final game of the year was an excellent one, especially on the defensive side of the ball, although it was marred by some pretty goddam awful officiating. I don’t think the guys in black and white were biased–their incompetence was fairly evenly distributed between the two teams.
I thought for a while that Lewis was going to break ED’s record, but the Steelers’ defence really stood up after the first quarter. And when the fuck are the Ravens going to to do something about all their false starts? It’s infuriating, and almost took them out of field-goal range in OT.
So, Airman, has the season lost all its attraction for you now? Or do you have someone to root for? I guess that, being a Steelers fan, you’ll just have to cheer for whoever is playing the Ravens.
I really thought that the Steelers would pull that game out. I really did. I guess I’ll just have to settle for the consolation prize, and that’s the fact that Jamal Lewis got stuffed.
This season has been a colossal disappointment. Obviously I wasn’t expecting this kind of result or I wouldn’t have started this thread. If I can take any kind of solace out of this, it’s that Dwayne Washington finally got benched and Chad Scott was finally seen to be the beat-bitch of all Steelers opponents. Maybe now that problem can be addressed.
Also, at 6-10 the Steelers will be drafting top 10, so they have the benefit of a potentially good draft pick, while Baltimore drafts much further down and will only be one week later to the golf course.
So, who’s my pick for the Lombardi Trophy? Hmmm… that’s a tough one. I think I’m gonna have to go with the Patsies over the Eagles, who fail to get the championship monkey off their backs for the 44th consecutive year.
Patriots 35, Eagles 10 in the big game, and you heard it here first.
