That was a great game – a match-up of two good defenses.
I wouldn’t say they exactly stuffed Lewis – 114 yards on 27 carries with one touchdown doesn’t qualify as a stuffing – though if you look at just the second half, you’re more on target.
I’m going with Colts over Eagles.
It’s finally over, for this year.
Next year will be a different story.
Airman’s prediction just needs to be bumped to next year. This season was played to allow for a better pick in the next draft, where the future Hall of Fame player(s) will be drafted to lead the Steelers to the Second Dynasty.
Yeah, that’s the ticket. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it- at least until next September.
Here is your league champion for this season: Dallas. My reasoning is that last year, a new coach took a black horse team to the champoinship, and the media loved it! Tuna is this year’s new flavor.
As much as it pains me, I’ll say Dallas over Baltimore, 27-21.

Weirddave, I got to your first reply and have to scream something (this may have been handled already, and no I’m not actually screaming). I love Ray Lewis, I think he’s the best LB in the league right now. But best all time? Number 66. Ray Nitschke. Nuff said? Go Packers!

This doesn’t really apply to you personally, but I gave up the 7 points and sank $3000 on the Packers Sunday. I’ll be back to brag if they win, and I’ll be back to take my lumps should they lose. Of course, with the spread, the pack could win and I lose, but Irvin is lookiing to give Brett the trophy. The VINCE LOMBARDI TROPHY!

Pffffft. Nice try. Nitschke was indeed a great LB, but he himself has said he’s not as good as Ray Lewis. Yesterday’s greats at the physical positions are pretty much pale before today’s players because the game has gone to an entirely different level with year round training and conditioning. The players are bigger, stronger and faster than ever before and that makes a difference when comparing two players who both have skills that are second to none (Nitschke and Lewis)- the player who is bigger, faster and stronger is going to be the better player. Take Art Donnovan. I love Art and he certainly deserves his spot in the HOF, but if he was playing today, it’s doubtful that he could even make it onto an NFL roster.
Um, Airman is most definitely a guy. I have proof.
