So they decide to attach the second ending of ‘28 Days Later’ a week after I saw the movie. I’m not exactly in the mood to sit through the entire movie again, not that it was bad, I just feel it isn’t worth another $6.50.
Not quite right there nickannan, though maybe you saw a different on than I.
After the car smashes into the gate, they flash to the hospital where Selena and Hannah are rushing him into an operating room on a gurney. Selena tries to pump him full of adrenaline and give him CPR but he doesn’t recover. Hannah asks, “What do we do now?” Selena replies, “Just keep moving.”
And in regards to the first ending, why would they waste their time spelling out “HELLO” when “HELP” is a shorter word and therefore easier to put together with sheets and such.
I thought that whole ‘Hello’ thing was strange myself. I think they should have spelled ‘Help’ too. But if they wanted to stick with the happy greeting thing they should have spelled out ‘Hi.’ Much shorter and just has happy.

I’d say it’s because they don’t need help anymore: the infected are all dead or too weakened by starvation to be a threat anymore, and they’ve got a self-sustaining little farm going. They’d still like to contact the outside world, of course, but they don’t need the outside world to swoop in and save their lives. So, “hello” not “help.”
I think that they wanted the audience to expect to see “Help”
and be slightly surprised that it said “Hello.” I remember the word not instantly being revealed and just assuming that it would be the former and being slightly surprised that it was the latter.
Also, it’s not like they had a busy day of commuting, running errands, etc. to take care of. I’m sure they could manage to find the extra ten minutes in their day it would take to add an extra letter.
