The Secret Santa Wish List Thread

Well, I’m partial to cats and dragons, so anything related would be acceptable. Also, SF or fantasy novels, if you can pick out one I don’t have and sounds like I’d like it. A page-a-day calendar sounds nice, especially if you could get one with good dragon or fantasy art (or a regular calendar, too, even). Coloring books (I have 96-box of Crayola that’s gathering dust ATM). Homemade goodies like fudge, brownies, chocolate cookies would be good if you’re a baking type.

Or a magic eightball. Or a slinky. Fun toy-type things like that.

Shirley check around in Archie McPhee (from my post). You’ll be pleasantly surprised. Also, try Target. Not that I’m sayin’ anything. And, of course you wouldn’t want to check til after Christmas.

The Amazing Drinking Bird. You can actually get them in a two pack here. (Again, you’ll have to look around. And not til after Christmas.)
-Rue. (who didn’t say, but needs his gifts PG-13 or less)

Books are nice, especially SF or mysteries. Or historical. My all-time fave puzzles are Cross Sums.

Time to bookmark this thread.

God willing, if we have any Finndopers, I could REALLY use some more salmiakki.

Oooohoohoohoohooh! Edmund Scientific! I used to love going to their store in South Jersey when I was a science geek kid. They have the neatest stuff in the universe.

Hey, I think I need to tack a side trip onto the PhilaDopia Fest.

Zap!

Shirley, where have you been all my life?

Zap!

Who is a Dogs Playing Poker kind of guy too, but would happily settle for hamsters playing whist.

I wish my damn email would go through to Green Bean so I could get on the list. It’s come back to me undelivered now twice. My kingdom for an email.

“Dogs Playing Poker”?

Philistines! It’s “A Friend in Need”. See the bull dog in front passing the ace to his bud? A poignant tableau from the genius of C.M. Coolidge.

(The Little Woman wouldn’t let me get the velvet version. And the print I had got quickly delegated to Katcha’s room. Narrowly escaping the basement.)
-Rue. (Art Coin-sewer)

Rue! You Rock!

Who’da thought such an advancement on humankind that is endless fascination would be called " The Drinking Bird"?

From the handsome hamsters on velvet lovin’ kinda guy:

Been working on starting my own velvet painting gallery

[sub]ain’t that a great idea for an “art” shop in Vegas or Atlantic City? [/sub]

What - no winky-smiley? Does it still count as a flirt without one? [I hope… ]

Okay Santa, nice coat by the way, I like books (Orson Scott Card is my favorite author, but the entirety of sci-fi is a decent start. Classical philosophy is another good one. A copy of Plato’s Republic would be well loved.) and music (broadway musicals, good choral music, happy hardcore…) and toys.

I love toys. (Stuffed animals, sand frogs, etc…)

If you have really good off the wall, but still elegant and personable taste, I need a fourth earring. (I recently got my ears double pierced and I have three beloved earrings…)

I hope that’s enough ideas, I’m really very easy to entertain and getting mail is great start alrerady.

Thanks you in advance!!!

**Tretiak ** I’ve never heard of these ducks, but they intrigue me.

Which duck, for your secret santa, would you want most? I kinda like - If I had to pick - Queen Elizabeth.

Pretty much, yeah. They’re too expensive.

I basically decided that I wouldn’t go through them by the truckload until I figured out something productive to do with the tins that I have.

discrete little nudge back up

G-XXX are okay with me, provided a little warning is issued if it tends toward the latter, okay?

Time to go shopping, just waiting to get that name…

Another easily amused one here…g-xxx…shiny things…anything really

Another not picky, its about getting something crowd…

G-XXX rated is OK, no kids around here.

Nothing girlie though please. Nail polish, candles and things like that just aren’t me. Anything G rated just ask yourself if a 12 year old boy would like it. If he would, I probably would.

I do love Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes stuff though.

Yeah, I shoulda mentioned anything for me has to be rated G. Mrs. Dave-Guy wouldn’t appreciate me opening up a present in front of 8-year-old Halford the Human Eel and pulling out an automated dancing dildo in festive holiday colors.

Just a word to the wise.

Okay, the Cthulu Claus is a bit pricey, but the itty-bitty one would keep my larger one company.

Anything animal (e.g. buffalo, owls, raptors, sea lions) but no bugs [cockroaches (fake or real), etc.] - ick ick ick.

Anything space or astronomy.

Heck, any toy I can sit on my computer at work (G-rated, obviously), unless it’s two critters humping (then it’s on the desk at home).

Aw heck, nearly anything from Archie McPhee (except the bugs - ick ick ick).
