I want these really bad, but I’m trying not to spend much money this year. Saving up for a big move and all. I really should stay out of this thread; it’s just going to get me all mopy and wanting shoes.
I’ve got, at last count, about 27 pair of shoes (not counting beach flip flops, cycling shoes and favourite old running shoes that have been retired but which I just can’t bear to part with yet.)
I don’t really need any more shoes. Ever. But I’m definitely going to buy a pair or two this fall that I don’t need but won’t possibly be able to live without the minute I see/try them.
And yes, my collection includes blue suede shoes. Something no wardrobe is complete without.
There’s not a lot I’m in love with this fall (which is kinda sad) and I’ve also developed this unfortunate addiction to very expensive shoes. So I may not buy much and save up for the handbag I want to get made for me in Hong Kong. I do have some shoes I bought in the spring from last fall I intend to wear a lot.
I’ve got these loafers in purple and can’t wait for it to get a bit chillier. I also snagged these loafers (on sale) in dark brown and burgandy. They’re super comfortable and will look great with jeans or tweed.
I preorded these but when I received them, I didn’t think they’d hold up to much wear. I have a pair of classic black platform pumps by the same label that I’m going to wear a lot this winter and I think I can continue wear my leopard peep toed platforms (a knock-off) in the winter with black tights.
I’m not going to get boots this fall as I still love the purple platform ruched boots I got last winter and want to wear them more.
I don’t know what I’m getting, but I know what I need. Tall slut shoes. There was a pair I tried to buy a while ago, but the company I attempted to buy them from cancelled my order and sent me a refund because the shoes were “on backorder”, but they never called me to ask me if that was what they wanted. Since the shoes have never reappeared on their site, and since they were found and then lost on Amazon before I could get them again, I am guessing that they are no longer made.
QuickSilver once posted a link to a very expensive pair of slut shoes that were just perfect. But they were very expensive, so I could not get them.
Other than that, I will probably drool over much and buy nothing.
Thanks, the mohair was sooooooo soft but the color had rubbed off on the tissue paper and the hair was so long it was draping over the bottoms of the shoe. They were so lovely on but if I’m paying that much for shoes, I want them to not look trashed after one wearing. Sigh. I was so sad to send them back.
The other links I muffed were these loafers (I have the purple) which are stunning on but a little hard to walk in and these loafers (mine are brown and burgandy) which are super comfy for such high heel.
Ooooh, looking through that ebay store (same one I bought my purple loafers from, I’ve just fallen for these and these. I need to stop looking…
I usually don’t have any problem with heels up to about 4" (lots of practice and I don’t have small feet so the heel to length ratio isn’t too bad). But, truthfully, those particular ones are kinda hard to walk in 'cause the cone heel comes to such small point it’s like a very skinny stiletto heel. But they’re so pretty, I wear 'em anyway.
We’re going on a cruise in November, so I neeeeeeeeeed gold dancing shoes and I have black so I need brown fancy cowboy boots for under jeans. That’s all I really need. I have a LOT of shoes…
What Cyn said: I need these black sandals for a cruise, then as professional footwear for a study tour in a tropical region. Otherwise, I wear Tevas pretty much year-round. It’s not glamorous, but on the other hand, I have no foot-, leg-, or back-related problems any more. Plus I’m pretty much a schlub, so I have no use for fancy shoes (though I admire them on others).
Zappos has some Lucchese boots on sale. I’ve always heard they fit like a dream and last forever. I want these but dont’ really have anywhere to wear 'em…
