Thanks! Okay, that makes sense. I did see him clicking a mystery box. (I know it sounds like I’m Snoopy-the-vulture over his shoulder, but we’re sitting on the couch next to each other, both playing the games we play and looking at what the other is up to. )

I got the lemon tree in my first or second mystery box. Since then - nothing special.

How do i cancel a crop that is growing to start another crop?
I thought I had to put the farm into storage, but I can’t figure out how to put the farm into storage.
Any help would be appreciated!
Go to the move screen, tap the farm, tap the box icon.
Open the edit window, then select the farm, then select the box icon, then confirm storage. Just tested and confirmed that it resets the crop.

Two things to remember for those that do this.

you lose your seed money for whatever crop you are canceling. In my case, I was growing corn again, so I lost a few bucks. I didn’t have much of w choices, since I had a task requiring a crop to be harvested. So unless. I wanted to wait 3 months, i had to sacrifice it.

you will also lose whatever time you have had Cletus running around doing a task. This is more important, since you should be able to wait until he’s done before putting the farm in storage. I didn’t realize that, and lost 10 of 12 hours Cletus was on a task. Not a huge deal, but I could have waited 2 more hours to get the task cash.
I agree if it is a Quest Task, but if it’s just one of those random “Harvest Triffids” things that pops up, you’re just going to have to ignore it. You can’t make it three months without something else popping up for the Farm.
Mine was a quest task. I had to harvest two Tomacco crops to complete the task.
When does a random “Harvest Triffids” pop up? Aren’t all crop requests part of a task?
I agree with your comment, but i can’t recall when a randon “Harvest xxxx” command pops up.
I dunno, but I get them fairly regularly. I’ve been up to date with the quests for at least 6 months though.
I got all annoyed again today trying to delete some of my gazebos and couldn’t. I did get a pond and a train in my last two spinning outings (I save them up for a day or two and find I do better when I spin at least 4 times than just once alone), so… yay?

My drunken Smithers and one of my cops like to wander around my un-roaded house farm. I don’t know why but they get lost in the houses. Only them and only that area.
I don’t like house farming, but I miss the tile glitch and getting mad XP. I at least put it up in the furthest corner so my friends aren’t landing right in the middle of it. I don’t need cash for in-game purposes, as I keep a tidy balance for updates, but I buy and sell weather stations. Brandine wiped out my donuts. Plus I’m doing as many heart tasks as possible, so I’m not earning as much cash as I could be during the event.
Buy and sell weather stations? What does that do?
You get XP every time you place a new Weather Station. There is a loss on the money end from the buying and selling transaction, but money is easier to come by.
Does anyone else think it’s time for an updated username list? The last time it was posted was in December and several of my friend requests have gone unanswered so I think a bunch of people have dropped off the game and lost interest.

Exactly. It’s grinding. It’s boring, it’s tedious, but at the same time, what else am I going to do with my in-game cash? It costs $9500 to buy (but you get $2375 when you sell it back a minute later). You get 1000 xp + multiplier. I wait until I have at least $100k over my personal comfort level of minimum balance and buy a bunch, sell them back, etc until I get back to my $1M. I don’t do it every time I have $9500, but once a day, every other day? It takes 5 minutes, tops.
Gil is available right now. His offer is Dr Nick (Hey everybody!), Krustylu/Sideshow Mel, and a canon he uses for a task with a .5% multiplier for 200 donuts. It’s a pretty good deal. I have never purchased donuts or scratchers, and this kind of tempts me. I have just enough of an iTunes balance that I’d only have to spend a dollar or two of real money to buy enough donuts for it. But I hate doing that. I want to kind of buy scratchers to see if I win enough. Or at least bring down the size of the donut bunch I have to buy. I’ve never been tempted to spend real cash on the game before and I’m afraid it’ll be something I regret afterwards.
I have four days to decide. My two other premium purchases (Kodos and Brandine) were completely earned donuts.
And having another multiplier boost, plus two premium characters and another building…they’d help me level up slightly faster. And I really love the two characters. It’s not like Roderick Tatum, who’s easy to pass up because I don’t like him.

Honestly, I don’t get the bonus box. The idea is to keep you playing, right? So why give a shitty “prize” time after time? Ooh! Fence sections! Ooh! Shrubs! Ooh! $250! Ooh! A newspaper dispenser! (Got two of them, two different weeks!)
I got a Lemon Tree once, which apparently everyone gets once. But that’s it. Nothing else is even worth the effort. The Mystery Box should at least be something worth more than the day 4 money prize, which i think is $1000. How about an Orange tree? Or an Apple Tree? Or a few donuts? It doesn’t have to be a huge prize, but give us something. All I get when I open the Mystery Box is pissed off.
